Anyone added aftermarket subwoofer to standard B&O system?

This part of forscan allows you to change the output from the b&o dsp. You can make the sub output a signal out instea of a speaker out. The difference is the voltage remains constant and doesnt roll off when distortion is detected.

can you please explain how to do it and what you used. I tried doing it and it keeps telling me incorrect sum used or something like that

I had one in my first 21, all I did was unplug the factory sub and tapped that plug to the amp, it worked fine just with that halfass setup.

How did you get the signal to the Amp? I'm hearing so many different opinions on if and how to add a subwoofer to a BO Unleashed in a 21 F150.

I've been told you can just splice into the wires for signal. I've been told you can get the Sound Good Stereo wire adapter from the BO Amp into a new Amp and sub.

I've been told the only way to add an amp without endangering the amperage of the BO system is the Zen module with a new 12 channel Amp.

Any guidance/clarity you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

Just installed a 1600.1 kicker amp and two kickerkicker comp RT’s and they sound great for about a minute and a half and then sound exactly like the old stereo. Half of the time, the signal to the amp just cuts and the subs go from somewhat working to barely any audio. The shop that installed them (who has had great work on all of my vehicles) wants me to buy the $800 unit that converts the digital signal to analog, but it seems that I would be throwing good money after bad. So frustrating that ford makes it so difficult to make small changes b

It's the standard B&O system, but here is my set up that is awesome. Look through this whole thread to get all the details, but it sounds like you just need the LC2i Pro to combat the B&O DSP from rolling off the bass.

Reviving this one, I found on the Ford Accessories site they offer a Kicker replacement VML3Z-18808-A but I cannot seem to figure out the actual differences between this unit and the standard B&O system in the truck. I have a bunch of Fordpass rewards to cover most of the cost of the unit but wanting to know if the upgrade is even an upgrade?

Would you happen to have a full size version of the wiring diagram?

How did you route your power and ground cabling? Passenger or drivers side firewall grommet?

Could you please link or provide the name of your subwoofer enclosure underneath your rear seat?

Yeah....I really didn't document that at all! Maybe one of these days I will revisit. However, if you check the description of that video, I have listed the parts. I will add this to the build thread soon. Power was routed from the battery across to the driver side and through the grommet by the driver side footwell to the rear. Remote turn on was sourced from the fuse box by the passenger side (cabin) and ground was in the general area where the stock amp is located.

Thanks for the photos! Did you fix the factory bass roll off at higher volumes? If so, how?

I don't have any bass roll off. Never did...perhaps because I never have to crank mine up very high....but sounds good stereo has an option to fix that though.
