I'm specifically interested in the 2kw version available with all the engines rather than the 2.4 or 7.2 you can only get with the hybrid.

I'd like to know if the 2000 watts is a sustained or a peak rating, and if sustained whether or not it can handle a slightly higher load for brief spikes. Basically if this thing can do everything a Honda eu2000i inverter generator can do that might be what tips me over into placing an order. Everything I've seen so far is just marketing collateral without a lot of detail.

I think some of your questions are here.

I do know the engine will idle up for higher loads but don't know if they limits can be exceeded or now.

The actual manual for the truck is now on line also.

Here is another source as well. From what I can tell it is a maximum, sustained power rating.

Keep in mind the system on the 2.0 Kw on gas only engines is underneath the rear seat and will prevent you from optioning your truck with the lockable storage. This is one of the reasons I did not get the ProPower on my build.

This is how the power flows on the gas only engines for the ProPower feature.
