Hi gimp,

Yes, I have verified operation of the camera with the ML3Z-13A576-PB harness installed. I have yet to get my trailer back with the TPMS valve stems installed, but I assume it will work fine. Just remember to install your reverse sensors (if you have 4 not 6) starting from the inside to the outside of the harness. There will be an empty sensor connection at the far end on either side. Otherwise, you'll get an error.
@Oakstone I just installed PN ML3Z-13A576-PB this morning, based on advice from this thread. However, the ML3Z-13A576-PB harness has six sensor plugs but my '22 F150 Lariat Powerboost has only 4 sensors. I connected all 4 sensors and left the two extra sensor plugs on the harness dangling, and I am now getting a Parking Senor fault (they wont turn on, and the light flashing on the parking sensor dash button).

Did you guys have the same problem? I am going to be really sad if I ripped out my old wiring harness only to install the wrong part. (All we needed was a 12-pin connector, right?), and I don't even see that in part #ML3Z-13A576-PB.

The same thing happened when the repair guys installed mine because they installed the outer sensors into the far outside connectors on the harness. You should have your left and right most sensors installed into the “middle” sensors on the harness. The far outside connectors on the harness are the danglers.

with regard to the 12 pin connector, it doesn’t come with the harness but rather with the trailer tpms camera kit. The smaller rectangular connector that plugs into the back of the 12 pin is on your new harness and has more wires going into it than the two wires that would be on your original harness.

Thank you sir. What a relief.

Received camera, tpms, yaw kit today from Fairway Ford. My truck was prewired for the camera/tpms/yaw sensors so no problem finding the plug attached to a dummy receptacle in the bumper area behind the 7 pin. I replaced the existing 7 /4 pin bumper receptacle with the new 7 pin / camera, tpms, yaw receptacle. It took about 15 min to complete. Now comes the hard part. I need to schedule a time with Discount Tire to rotate and install valve stems on the trailer. After that install the camera and tpms module. Looks like I will need to order a yaw sensor off of EBAY. There seems to be a plentiful supply of yaw kits at $125 -$140. I have a sticker on my trailer but some extreme angles are problematic. Trailer is a 25FBT Airstream and Truck is 2023 F 150-PB-Lariat,

Today installation is complete with tpms programed and yaw sensor calibrated. Camera is mounted above license plate light and below rear window. The Camera gives a good view of the road behind.

I was able to get the Ford harness/tpms kit and install the rear camera and TPMS. I was driving back into Colorado from a 3000 mile trip and I get a TPMS warning of 21 psi on 1 of my trailer tires. I pulled over and sure enough that is how much was in it. These were cheapass "china bomb" tires (that I'm replacing with Goodyear Endurance tomorrow), the inner sidewall had a spot that had swelled out until the bead started leaking. I found this out when I tried to air it up just to get to a tire shop, which didn't work, at 40 psi it started bulging out again.

A few minutes later after the wheel was removed and the spare put on, the pressure went down to 0 eventually. I can inflate these again and see the bulge appear again, as it is not blown out.

I had 65 psi in these tires (cold, load range D), and they were reading about 70-72 on the highway at 65 mph (on a 70 degree day).

My question is:
I have a feeling my tire lost air somewhat slowly, at leas not a catastrophic instant blowout, (or instant flat tire), I am wondering at what psi does the notification occur? If you have LR D 65psi tires or my new LR E 80 psi tires, I wonder if you don't get a notification until it reaches something like 30 or less (21 in my case?). Is this "low pressure psi alarm" value something you can change? I love the TPMS integration onto the dash screen, but it is not ideal by any means, and I may have to consider an after market setup, just for the alarm capability (and maybe a temperature alarms as well?)

Thoughts?

It's implied but you never say explicitly in your post .... what was the "specified PSI" you had set on your trailer TPMS system?

Yes, on the trailer TPMS dash setting for the nominal psi, I set it to 65. So I'm not sure if it had lost pressure slowly (over a minute or more), at what pressure it would have triggered the warning message I saw on the dash. I wonder how often it samples the value, and what value it would trigger at, for 65 or for 80 psi (Load Range E) that I am now buying.

... Just FYI if/when you get tired of the delay and search .... it took me about an hour to lay out my single-exhaust / 4-sensor OE harness next to the dual exhaust / 6-sensor harness and carefully unwrap / transfer the taped-on plastic clips etc. from the former to the latter, then simply clip-off the extra sensor wires.
If I'm successful finding the 6-sensor harness for my 4-sensor truck (no luck so far - out of stock everywhere), does the truck not care about the wires being clipped off? Is there a potential for a short, or anything like that? Does it ignore them because upstream wiring doesn't know about the extra 2 sensors?

100% having the TPMS on the dash and the camera integrated into the Sync display is well worth it to me also. Maybe in the future, they'll offer an HD/IR camera upgrade that is plug and play with the current harness. We can dream! (and dream it won't be $500 haha)
Everybody has different pain tolerance and laziness level, but as a datapoint, I paid for the install of a top-of-the-line wireless camera in the back of my travel travel when I bought it 3 years ago, and it has IR built-in, works while driving, etc, but I can tell you after our first trip with it, I've always forgotten / not bothered to haul out the receiver screen and suction cup it to our dash. So now that I have this Ford kit installed (with yall's help), and I can just tell the kids to click on the Aux camera, I have something I'll actually use. So, just fwiw, another example of "good plan you'll use vs perfect you won't" or something like that.

Question for those following, how did you secure your excess wiring? Even with a 27-ft trailer, I had about 10 feet of (thick) excess wiring-- more than I've ever had to permanently secure somewhere. Right now it's wadded up and zip-tied to my A-frame / yoke, but zip ties fail, and it's going to take a lot of wind vibration, etc.

Just to have an irrelevant pic-- here's my external wiring run to where I piggy-backed the camera on my existing camera.

I have my excess wiring in a couple of different looped bundles underneath. I tried to zip tie them to places that are a bit more protected. I figure I’ll inspect them after I do my first spring trip and see how they’re faring.

Would it be better to pull the excess to the rear and secure it on one of your spare tire mounts?

Long SS worm-drive hose clamps (with appropriate padding) won't 'weather out' like zip-ties, should be very secure.

Just brainstorming for ya, good luck!

(I ran mine through the inside of my trailer and stashed the excess loops in a cabinet over the wheel-wells; yep, TPMS receiver is inside the trailer above the axles, works great)

Thanks for the ideas. I originally intended for the excess to be in the back, but there's at least one box or part of the assembly that won't go through the first hole in my trailer's frame cross member that I ran the camera wire through. The second, sillier reason, is there's a circular plug/grommet built into the Ford wiring that fits exactly into the frame at the right spot when I pull all of the excess forward.

https://getyarn.io/yarn-clip/8440d09c-0946-443c-bdd4-d53d733c36e1

I'll see if I can find a hose clamp to bundle the wire. What I really need is the guts to put a self-tapping screw into my A-frame to give me an attachment point. thx again.

I put in several self tapping screws for the yaw sensor and TPMs sensor. Just go for it. There’s other stuff mounted to your trailer with them already. Don’t think there’s any danger to it.
