any idea what this plug is for?

It's orange, so I suspect a high voltage harness.

A Powerboost?
That far near the rear of the truck would likely be for the distribution panel in the bed. But why unplugged?

I went and looked at mine and I think it goes to the plug I show with the red arrow.

Here's mine. I would plug it in and see if it fits. What could go wrong?

So does that harness then go to an 110v distribution panel in the bed?

I know it's a misprint / oops, but just wondering how the 4WD works.....with a 3.73 rear and a 4.10 front...

Yeah I believe it has something to do with the onboard 2KW Pro Power inverter since myself and the OP both have that option.

Nope the orange jacketed wire on the top of the picture goes up to the bed outlet distribution box.

If the connector description is found maybe able to show what it is for before doing something illogical.

I guess that was kinda my point. if you find something that's not working, that might tell you what the plug is for, and decrease the chance of doing something silly.
