I have a ‘22 platinum powerboost and very much love it. 20k miles. I have had small electrical issues (CarPlay not connecting, the battery system thing) but for the most part has been very good. The battery system failure issue was popping up for me and I got an optima yellow battery, fixed those issues and runs better.

is that just an odd wheel design or did you install manual locking hubs?
The wheels are Fuel Off Road Blitz 20x9 with a +20 offset. The hubs are original.

Iv had my 21 PB for about 8 months now and the only issue Iv had was the battery. Luckily the dealership just gave me a new one. I love this truck it’s got super smooth ride and has lots of power. I would buy again for sure.

A thread like this is all that is needed to support the theory that forums, by their very nature, can skew one's perception of reality.
The posts regarding issues are real. Some percentage of the many thousands upon thousands of manufacturerd Powerboosts do indeed experience the various issues that are documented here.

But it's the percentage of trucks that have been described in this thread that likely represents the vast majority.

Hear, hear... I've got many Wyoming miles on my '21 Powerboost, a few minor things cropped up. Had some weird battery readings, and replaced it with a non-Ford NAPA battery. Not a peep since out of the system.

It also seems some of the reported problems are not exactly PB centric. They are issues regular 3.5 EB trucks can have.

Yo
my '23 platty has been great. got to use it to keep some house power in a storm once (extension cord vs. subpanel). getting great mileage outside of long 80mph road trips (and then it drops to just OK mileage). "idling" with the A/C on and engine off is awesome. i've run a circular saw and a shop vac off of the bed outlets.

i replaced the OEM 12V battery when i started getting some weird error messages about the trailer brake module. the issue happened again some time later so i let it trickle charge for about 2 days until it was topped off, and its been fine since.

no regrets. would like to see larger hybrid systems installed on trucks in the future.
Your still going to need the brake module replaced. I did the exact things you did and the message came back. The last time it failed I was towing a endloader. Message popped up and I found that I had no trailer brakes. Not fun towing a brake less maxed out load.

City driving. Just normal driving in city traffic and small roads. Not really doing anything special. I do NOT drive aggressive.

Highway driving...80%. 70-80 mph. Mild traffic. The other 20% is city/neighborhood driving.

I was able to get 24 on a trip in the city today. I am levelled, running on 285/65R20s Toyo Open Country ATIII, Speedometer is not calibrated and I have a full Talon Garage skid plate.

OK. I love the powerboost. This trip was a lot of rural routes with some off road soft outer banks sand throw in. Very happy with 25.9 @ 794.9 miles as plowing deep sand kills mileage.

This trip was cheating. Coming out of the Smoky Mountain NP. 36.9 MPG over a number of miles is still impressive.

And coolest hottest of all. 2 days keeping the house warm. Note that the DTE was not negatively impacted by 48 hours of generator mode.
