I am confused. I have a 22 platinum. Alarm is turned on and motion sensors on.
I can yank on the door handles and jump up and down on the bumper and definitely nothing happens. I also don't see anything about alarm in the fordpass app. I tried locking it by using the button on the door, the fob and the app.

What am I missing?

I know this is an old post. Has anyone installed the Ford LED flasher DM5Z19D596A for your factory install or with the Perimeter Plus (ML3Z19A361A) security module? if so, where did you install the LED and would you recommend that location?
this is where I installed mine. It was a bitch drilling the hole because I couldn’t figure out how to pull that front trim piece. Instead I bought a 90 degree drill bit holder and ended up with a fairly clean hole, but not perfect.

Thanks! Would you do anything differently and did you have to use any glue to make it stay?

Are you happy with the brightness - can it be seen from outside of car at night though windshield or driver side?

Any other tips welcomed! Appreciate it!

These are the instructions I found on a different forum (for prior gen trucks where mounting location was by ODBC plug) including here for others.

11. Keep the following points in mind when routing or positioning the LED for mounting:
* Have at least 3/4" clearance behind trim panels for the wiring harness to be routed.
* The LED should be clearly visible from the driver's side window when mounted.
* Do not mount the LED on trim panels that cover air bags.
12. Mount the LED at an appropriate location on the upper steering column shroud, using the guidelines listed above.
* Drill a 9/32" hole into the selected location, for the LED to mount in.
