Just looked, nothing on the side of the upper control arms as pictured by @Snakebitten. I can live without the auto leveling. If I can get glare free working post install, that is sufficient I hope to avoid blinding oncoming traffic :p
Yea auto level isn’t really necessary, but I’m trying to legitimately turn my truck into a 502a. I would consider the headlamps 90%+ functional with the high beams and bending.

Auto level only has 2 functions:

1) level adjustment for payload

2) level adjustment when accelerating or braking

it doesn’t compensate for going up or down hill. I don’t usually accelerate or brake very hard anyways. But I’ll definitely be testing it out once I get it working. I think by the time I get the auto level working I’ll be another $200 into it.

I'll be eagerly awaiting your results. I can almost guarantee at some point I'll want the functionality since I like to be as OEM as possible and the DTCs will drive me nuts every time I'm futzing about in Forscan. This is where I tell myself I'll never put in heated rear seats either...

There’s nothing going on in forscan with the rear heated seats. It was a lot easier to install them than I thought it would be. I’ve helped walk a couple other members through it as well. My kids love them and use them pretty much every time they get in the truck, even though they’re still in booster seats, they can still feel the back heat

All in it only cost me about $450 in parts and the install I did myself

Seems we all have similar goals. I ordered the headlights from PR two weeks ago. I got a tracking number this past Thursday, but they haven't moved yet.

I also went with Ryan for the required harnesses and HCM, and I second the advice on going this route. I worked with Ryan about five years ago when we were all coming up with how to get LED headlights in our F250/F350's. He has started a business making harnesses, so I am inclined to help a fellow forum friend. Sounds like JScaro will also be a good option for you.

I found my truck already had the rear height sensor, so I call that a win. I will order the front, get the required plugs and pins, and make my own harness for this.

At the moment, I do not plan on doing the glare free mod, but that's just a Forscan change anyway. I will make every effort find a way to avoid the DTC.

@dolsen is the man, he has been my go to lifeline for quite a few of my mods. We are in good hands with him.

The only write up I did was on how to rewire the center console, I bought a whole new harness instead of just adding the heated seat switch connector pigtail. But I also got a center console harness that had the WACM connector too, and I installed that at the same time.

Most people seem to loathe the WACM, and I do too, or at least the one in my wife’s explorer. The one in my F-150 has actually worked as well as any other wireless charger I’ve used, in or out of a car.

I purchased a PTS license for 72 hours and just used the work instructions from that for the rear heated seats. It’s not explicitly spelled out in there, but there’s enough info that I was able to work through it.

Is there a wireless charger for the rear seats? Didn’t even know that was a thing. I have the one up front but wouldn’t bother with one in the back. If you have some time I’d love to look at a parts list. The easier the better - I am willing to spend more for a plug and play install vs hacking up wires with my meat hooks

Sorry, I just installed the WACM up front, that’s all one wiring harness for the center console. At the time when I was pricing everything out, the pigtail was $40, now it’s $160 and the entire center console harness cost me $107 shipped, so that was an easy decision. I do have an entire parts list. I’ll send it to you via PM, it’s your thread, but I have to assume you want to keep this more geared towards headlamps

Thats what's great about forums. People come, people go, but there is always a group of people who selflessly help other people.

I am not young, and I have been altering my vehicles for many, many, many years. I honestly have more friends around this country (and other countries) that I have "met" from forums, than I do here at home. I find myself meeting up with some of them whenever the wife and I vacation in their state.

Many people on this forum are of that caliber, including you. We are all very lucky to have a place that we can come to for this kind of information.

Back on topic..... are my parts here yet? I am itching to get started on all of these projects I have been researching and collecting parts for!

What's your timeframe on doing the headlight swap?
I may have a complete Plug & Play harness with a programed HCM available in a month or less if I get motivated enough.

I just bought a set of the projector headlights. I have the reflector LEDs now. Can you give me an idea on price for the harness and HCM to make them work? Where does the HCM live? Inside the truck I’m assuming. So wires would have to go thru the firewall I assume?

The harness that he and I both have runs from the drivers side headlamp to the passenger, then connects to a power supply in the fuse box behind the battery. Runs through the firewall to the BCM, then behind the glove box, behind the HVAC controls and terminates at the HCM. The HCM is under the push button start, to the left of the HVAC controls.
