22 King Ranch PB averaging 21.8 MPG, just went over 2200 miles on the truck. Still learning the idiosyncrasies of the PB. I do feel Normal is delivering better numbers than ECO. Haven't put enough miles in each to make an honest assessment to back this up 100%

2022 Lariat 502A PB 145" wheelbase... Averaging 19.4 lifetime over 11,000 miles since last April. I have a bit of a heavy foot during acceleration, so I could probably do a bit better. Also maybe too many short drives and remote starting. Hand calculated MPG is significantly less than the comp shows if you remote start and let the truck idle for a while, but damn if it isn't cozy when I get in! (totally worth it)

"PowerBeast" - our 2021 F150 Lariat 4x4 Powerboost
My 2002 powerboost crew cab long bed w/ 18k miles gets pretty lousy mileage, all stock. Ford advertises this truck as 23city / 23hwy but I get 16-17.5 city and 16-16.5 highway. I don't hot rod my truck and I stay within a couple mph of the speed limit. My truck is a Lariat, has a fiberglass cap, bed slide, and tow mirrors. Yes I'm a little heavier with the cap, I have the dumbo ears sticking out, but to loose 6-7 mpg over the advertised numbers to me is robbery. These numbers are hand calculated not from the dash. Is it too much to ask for it to come close to the advertised numbers? My wife's 2020 Escape is right on the numbers, why cant the truck be. I've gone to my dealer, there is no codes so no way to tell me if something isn't right. On top of the poor mpg, I have had issues with the truck rolling backwards in drive, rattles on start up, dead peddle, poor shifting, etc. Some the items have been fixed with programming but not all. I've always been a Ford buy but I'm finally at my boiling point with this truck and may look elsewhere. Don't get me started on the shit mileage I get when towing. The only good thing I have to say about the truck is the generator is great.
It would be really disappointing to get the results you are getting. I feel for you.

And yes, there have been others posting here with similar disappointing MPG results.

On the other hand, I am impressed when our PB delivers 18-19 on the 2800ft to 5000ft to 3000ft to 5000ft drive from Boise to McCall, ID - and gives 25+ on the return trip back down.

It seems your result is not normal, or representative of the PB. I actually wish your truck was having drivabilty issues and throwing codes, as this would be much more straightforward for your dealer to address.

I thought the exact same thing, even to the point where I thought something was wrong with my truck. But then I read the other threads, and saw screenshots, and realized that this truck has to be driven a certain way to achieve those numbers. I cannot drive mine that way. I'm too zoomy zoom on the footy foot, so it is what it is. Other than that, it has shown to be an incredibly capable truck with the generator and all.

I find mine is greatly effected by the type of driving and the wind. I can get 20-21 going to work on a nice day. That can easily be 17-18 if its windy or winter time. I'd say my realworld average is 19. 20min trip, 10 miles. 55 MPH stop and go.

18 pretty solid on Illinois/Wisconsin tollways doing 5mph over.

I've seen mid 20's on trips to other towns.

As far as the MPG's, Its odd because sometimes its dead on, and sometimes its not.

This is an example of the type of gas mileage im getting , i drive 104 miles a day to and from work . The cruise control will drop your MPG its all in the big toe and watching the Tac .

The key here is that you're averaging 35 miles an hour. At highway speeds, you're not getting anywhere close to that kind of fuel economy. At 75-85 MPH, I'm lucky to get 17. If there's a headwind, more like 16.

Again, an example of crawling along slowly (average speed of 22 mph).
Two lane roads with Speed Limits of 35 - 55 & stop signs & traffic lights thrown in. If you are going to have to travel in heavy traffic, you can at least get good fuel mileage, while you are doing it.

'21 4x4 non Max tow 302a with just a hard folding tonneau on the bed, on 20s. It will do low 20s on a road trip if I take it easy and 16-18 mixed or stop and go. I think the city mileage is reasonable as the testing to get epa numbers for these trucks likely optimizes e mode usage in a way that's not practical in the real world.

I think high teens in the city and 21-22 highway is a reasonable expectation if you don't hot rod it. I can get 17-18 non highway if I try. Cold weather makes a bigger difference than on pure ICE engines. Learn how and when to maximize electric mode. Sometimes in heavy traffic I will draft a big rig for a bit or stay off the gas on a 60 mph downhill to stay in E mode for a bit to drag that number back up. I can also hold e mode for a bit in extended slow stop sign to stop sign driving on back roads. In slow stop and go keep her on E mode while you putter along and brake every 30 seconds.

I can't complain, my 09 Tundra Crewmax with 50 fewer hp and 140 Fewer pounds of torque was a 15 mpg truck all around on its best day. Quickly dipped into the low teens if I got just a little aggressive.

i think the one time my Tundra got 18 on the highway I had to drive it in a way I never had the patience to try again. Like as in, plan merging to minimize throttle use even getting into 75 mph traffic from a rest stop. The Powerboost will easily do the same thing driving normally and will do 3-5 mpg better if I try just a little bit.

Salesmen would do Powerboost buyers and the dealerships themselves a big favor to just tell customers at point of sale that 24 city number is never going to happen for them unless their commute is the EPA test cycle.

Original poster's city mileage does not sound horrible depending on driving style but the highway number combined with other issues indicates the truck isn't running optimally. These trucks should generally be able to do over 20 in gentle cruising.

For sure. I can get 22 or better in around town driving, in Eco mode. Turn onto the highway, fire up the 450 HP, mash the accelerator, and things change rapidly. ;-)
