Also thinking of upgrading the tires on my XLT PB, 302A after having done a 2" level a while back. Came stock with the Michelin Primacy XC's (275/65/18), which weigh only 38pds according to tire rack. They're labeled as "all terrain" but are really more like a all season, highway tire. Tires perform well, I'd just like something a bit more aggressive looking, that will give a bit more confidence off road, and have the least impact on Fuel economy and acceleration.

So for me, I'm really just looking for the lightest weight All Terrain tire that offers the best performance off road and on. At least that will be a good place to start, though I understand that the tread pattern and tire compound will also have an impact. There don't appear to be many options at all under 40pds, but I'm aware of a few that are low-mid 40's, which would be perfectly acceptable. I'd also like to go up to a 70 profile for a slightly larger tire, so I know I will lose some economy, just want to minimize it as much as possible. Any recommendations for the lightest weight All terrain tire?

2 new tires I haven’t seen talked about yet are the hankook dynapro at2 extreme and Mickey Thompson Baja boss at suv line. Both p rated and in the 40’s lbs wise for stock sizes. They are on tire rack but have no reviews yet.

I will check those out thanks! Initially, I was planning to go with the BFG K02's until I found out how heavy they were.....

My mileage on a set of 275/60-R20 BFG T/A KO2s fell by 1-2 on the highway, but 3-5 in the city. I'm getting Weld Stealths in (a 30# flow formed wheel) next week, so I'll see how that nets out.

295/65R20 Nitto ridge grapplers on Powerboost and leveled. E motor still kicks on, still get 23 mpgs when I feather it. Don't do that much though. Truck looks much better get compliments all the time.

Still have the old tires. Will probably sell.

Do you have a level on this truck? Interested if you can clear 295/65/20 with no level.

Living in Canada my only concern is frigid icy days. All A/T tires can handle snow. I saw a video of a guy from Toronto who dealt with freezing rain 3 days after putting on Pirelli Scorpion All Terrain Plus tires on his truck and he said the performance was as close to a winter tire as you could get. That sold me on those and I'll be mounting them as soon as I get my truck.
Do you happen to have a link for that video? Being in Alberta I'd like a tire that can handle crappy winter highways that are always partially covered in snow and ice...

Will be looking for an LT tire either in load range D or E.
