I’m a little over 50k miles on my PB and I need new tires. I honestly have no complaints with the stock Pirelli Scorpion ATR tires. I’m looking into the All Terrain Plus instead since I want a little better winter rated tire. I live in Indiana and we sometimes get a good foot of snow if we have a storm and I want that little extra confidence in snow and ice without sacrificing a bunch of MPG, comfort or noise.
Honestly the stock ATR tires did great last year in the snow, just put the truck in deep snow and sand mode and I drove around town on unplowed roads with a bunch of snow and ice. I seemed to have great traction even with all the ice and I was confident in the stoping ability.
Any thoughts on the PLUS’s? I normally get 17-18.5 MPG in the winter and up to 21 in summer. Are the PLUS’s worth it and do they still preform as well in dry weather?
