For those looking for the rain sensor part number it is LU5Z-17D547-B (Varsity Ford had the best price I could find). I installed it this afternoon without issue. It is going to be a while before I get around to the heated wheel, but based on @dhageremtp's experience, I don't expect any problems.

on my xlt 302a i had the dummy plug with wires, but need to run the data wires down from the mirror to the plug behind the dash below the centre console. maybe even further, higher trim trucks might have the harness pre populated, mine did not.

Interesting. I didn't bother checking the wires with a multimeter because I assumed that I was good. Where do the data wires connect behind the dash?

@ReverendQ I haven't got around to ordering the steering wheel parts as of yet. Once I do (hopefully fall at the latest), I will report back if it works or if additional additional parts are required.

What kind of " funnies " did you run into? Ever figure it out ?
I did the FORScan changes to AS BUILT and they worked with my non-Automatic stock however nothing showed up in the Sync 4 until a changed Rain Sensing in SCCM using Easy Mode to Enabled. I now have Sync 4 setting on Enabled and then use the stock to turn them ON.

BTW, I also sorta tested the "sensitivity" by trying the stock in the first three positions at each time changing how much water I sprayed over the sensor. It appears its possible to adjust sensitivity using each position until the ON absolute positions.

Anyway I could not even start to explain how to use these settings during rain. In my Mustang I have them and adjust as I am driving along in increasing rain and decreasing car speed. However thesae are never really consistant enought to set one way very long.

But alas, I live in the dessert of SoCal do don't really get much chance to understand wipers in general :) The bigger issue is that between raining seasons my wipers seem to get fried and new ones are needed in the fall :(

Was finally able to find some time for Forscan this morning and I am happy to report that I now have rain sensing wipers. For those looking to use easy mode, search for "rain" or "wipe" in each of the modules that @Rineland mentions in the thread below and you will see the values that need to be changed. Also, prior to testing, make sure your wipers are set between the one and three raindrop positions on the wiper stalk (I used three which is the most sensitive).
