I have '22 PB platinum I purchased a year ago. It was a dealer order that went in in November of '21 and build date was 3/15/22. I recall seeing the original window sticker and believe it had Active parking delete., which was ok. Once the truck finished assembly some 7 moths later I got the updated window sticker, of course the price in crease :(, but it just show the active parking assist, but no delete or discount.

I never tried it out until today as I'm looking at the trailer hitch assist in the for scan thread and it seams the APA is needed for it to work.
Well when I hit the button all I get is this screen. I assume I don't have it. Anybody else have this?

Might be wrong but I think the trailer assist (I've never used either) is a different thing from the Active Parking Assist function. I found this to double check...that is the screen telling you to take the first step to start the parking assistance.

Trailer hitch assist does not need active park assist.

Actually I think it (Hitch Assist) does require the same chip that was missing and resulted in the Park Assist Delete.

If we are talking about the truck driving itself to the trailer coupler.

Nope Hitch assist worked on my 23 Limited with the original chip deleted IPMA. Truck would line up and drive to the coupler. My particular trailer confuses it (due to the double height frame at the coupler I think) but it worked fine on other trailers I tried.

That would indicate not all Park Assist deletes are the same then.
Plenty of 2022 trucks with the delete can not get Hitch Assist to function without throwing an error, unless they swap out for an IPMA with the necessary chip.
There's a thread somewhere with the discussion at length.

I do not have APA as I do not have the sensors for it on the front bumper. I have and have tested AHA which works on my 2023 XLT 302A BAP with 360 cameras. When I looked into adding APA (sensors, I have the harness) @Jesse-Infotainment told me my IPMA would require a modification (my has the green connector). I would then stipulate to @Snakebitten that indeed there are quite a mix of IPMA and its associated firmware.

IN mid or so of 22 Ford started shipping multiple versions of IPMA based on wat the truck had. So if you didnt have front sensors the IPMA may be a 360 cam IPMA bu tdoesnt have the LIN chips other than what is needed for rear sensors.

2021 trucks IPMA all had the chips. That is why the NA IPMA is so popular. Plus it can be PMI to any year as of now.

Good thing is that you can as of now buy IPMA fairly reasonably.
