I just ran the power wire under the weather stripping to the fuse box.
That is also what I did. - for the dashcam power and the rear camera wire. It looks super slick! There are some reports that wiring it here could affect side curtain airbag deployment. Other reports speculate that it wont affect it all. I presume OP is erring on the side of caution. I threw caution to the wind as Im the only driver of the truck

Here are installed photos. Not visible from the drivers seat. Does not have wifi or app, must remove card and put into PC to view videos. A no thrills camera, but seems to be recording just fine.
Install was plug and play and took about 10 minutes. I ended up not removing the A pillar cover, and just tucked cable behind the weather seal.
This is kit i used: OEM Dashcam
Pics after install and reviews in dash cam Please?

I have a sign business and that is in our shop/install bay/break room. Having a separate break room for 3 employees seemed like it would be a waste of space.

I wish I had a kitchen on my garage

I'll be the one to bump this to the top. I went and bought a little 4 piece pick set (say that 5 times fast) from Lowes and made a quick video, which I turned in to a .gif, of doing it!

Thanks for posting this. I wish you continued with the video to show us what's actually behind this cover and if it eventually leads to the A-Pillar screws :)

Because of the placement of the hole it is hard to get at it. I will need to find a short pick to get at it.
Yup, that's what she said....

On another note, is it just me or is everyone else unable to actually expand attached images? It says click on it to expand but nothing happens. I can download it but it's a tiny .png file that doesn't really open larger than it is in the message/reply.

Thanks.

Trying to install the Ford OEM dash cam on my 2021. Anyone know how to remove the A pillar on the drivers side so i can tuck the wiring behind it? I dont want to scratch it all up by pulling in the wrong spots. Photos attached of how it looks

Does your wife know you've got the truck in the kitchen?
Does she have a sister that's single?

I installed my aftermarket camera and was able to get power cable across the top/front headliner into the A piller and tucked behind the rubber weather stripping then under the dash. I used an OBD power cable so I didn't need to hardwire it.

I was going to put mine behind the mirror but was worried it would interfere with the camera in the rear view Mirror so I mounted it to the right side out of the driver view.
One would think as many cameras are in these trucks it would have recording features built in.

Not sure why are you limiting yourself !? :D
Well, I’m not but asking to borrow the wife seemed like way too forward of a first step!
