1. Confirm the bulb of the turn signal lights

Here are three ways to help you confirm the bulb model.

• Remove the original halogen bulb and check the model number marked on the bulb

1. Choose turn signal bulb color

Generally, the front turn signal bulbs are amber in color, while the rear turn signals are red or amber.

You also need to pay attention to the color of your vehicle's turn signal shades. If the shade color is amber, then you can choose amber or white LED bulbs for replacement.

If you want to choose a different color turn signal, the confirmation of your local state laws is required.

Solve the problem of LED turn signal decoding
When you want to upgrade your vehicle’s turn signals from yellowed, dim Halogen bulbs to newer, brighter, better LED bulbs, you may notice that they are blinking much faster than your previous bulbs or pop up in the dash with errors.

Since LED bulbs draw far less power than the original halogen or HID bulbs, the computer in the vehicle may think that the bulb is out so it'll throw an "error message" or "bulb out" warning the driver that the light is out.

If there is a flashing turn signal bulb, how do I fix it?
When you upgrade to an LED bulb with a decoding error, you can try connecting a load resistor across the wires feeding the turn signal light bulb.

Through the use of a load resistor kit (pictured right), the flashing speed of LED bulb can be reduced to the regular rate. These resistors will be installed in parallel (tied to positive and negative) for each LED bulb.
