9 months past ordering F150 XLT. No VIN yet !!!

Are there any fellow F150 XLT customers out there who ordered before or around the same time as I did last year in September 2021, especially in Canada? I customized it as FX4 2.7L 302A 5.5’ box EcoBoost in Carbonized Grey with 360 Camera & 2kW onboard power. Not scheduled for production (No VIN) yet. Any insights from experienced people? Thanks

A dealer told me last month that in May, Ford picked its last October orders.

After you ordered in Sept 2021 did you receive an official "order received" email from Ford? If not it could be that the dealer you ordered from either waited to submit the order, or just dropped the ball. You should have had a VIN by now.

I think it’s the 360 camera holding it up. At least that’s what I recall reading.
Could also be an allocation issue with your dealer. If u bought from a high volume one like I did.

Yes. It was rolled into a 2022. Dealer’s response is standard one: Ford decides what to build. Salesman even subtly suggested that I can cancel my order take back deposit. Not much help. I now realize that I made a mistake buying from this dealer but it’s too late now

No. I never received Order Confirmation email from Ford. I too suspect that dealer is not providing me the correct information. Something doesn’t add up

Planet Ford Brampton. I don’t know if they are high volume Ford F-150 dealer or not. I am a first time Ford customer entering in the Truck segment. This has not been a pleasant experience so far

By the looks of it, your order was never actually put in or sent to Ford. I ordered mine 1/31/22 and got an email an hour later confirming my order. Then on 4/1/22 got an email saying truck has been built and on its way to the dealership. You can chat with a Ford associate and ask them what's going on. Good luck!

Does that work for Canadian Orders? I called Customer Service Reps many times in the past. Just gave up calling them now as their sweet & standard response is: Call dealer. They know more. How come?

Lol there’s your answer. I waited almost 16 months for my truck from them. (Picking it up tomorrow)

Ford don’t send confirmation for Canadian orders. Our dealer receive the confirmation number.

I don’t know about Canadian orders. It’s worth a try, though. You’ll need the order code for your truck plus the dealership sales code. Both codes would be on the order sheet that you should have received from your dealer when you placed the order.
