8/2 Build Week

I'm preparing myself mentally for it to get pushed out but hoping it doesn't.

I hope not. Build day is 2 weeks from tomorrow for me I believe. The excitement is rapidly building. Hoping build day stays firm so I can possibly take new truck on a family vacation over Labor Day. Also many are waiting much longer then I have. So I try to curb the excitement.

I just checked with Tom at Chapman Ford and my build date is 8/8. My build week was 8/02 which was available right after placing the order and new info is build date is 08/08 so I don't exactly know what that means but it's progress.

I just contacted FPS as my dealer is currently away on vacation. My build week remains 8/2 but, I found out today that my build "DAY" is 8/4. Still no window sticker yet.

I am super excited!

FordPerformance.com. They have a chat function that allows you to text with a tech/rep that has access to Fords data base for build info.

Thank you all. When I looked to log in, they had closed for the day (Friday, after 5pm Eastern. I saw their explanation and it said you can email questions also. My guess is the same customer service agents that answer chat, also work the email, so I could get the same answer sometime Monday.

I believe my salesman is finally making a bit of effort to get me solid information as I've sent him several people to make orders. Initially, I'm sure they were bummed that I locked in an order about $2,000 below invoice on a competitive match. I have a written price on the build sheet, which I signed. Not a rock solid crystal clear contract, but certainly has all the elements of a contract. I'm sure they'll do the right thing, as with all the bonuses for volume, dealer holdback, etc. they won't lose money.

You would be amazed if you saw all the logistics and planning that is involved in vehicle scheduling and production. I wish I could show you but it's not allowed.

I get it, there’s probably is a lot logistics, but how do you explain;
1) people getting there trucks before others
2) pushed out number 6 = 6 months when this build date comes around
3) people start to order in June getting there trucks
4) etc. etc. etc.

I was okay, until yesterday when I found out that I was pushed out again ;

This push is uncalled for, no reason behind it. This build date puts the truck order at 6 months now.

Guess I’m going to join 8/30 build week now.

I wish I could help you or had any answers for what's going on but unfortunately I don't. I'm just as frustrated as you are not being able to get a Vin# and build date on my Tremor order, when my '19 Lariat had a Vin# and build week the day after my order was submitted back in June of '19

I just chatted with them and my order date was 5-13 and was supposed to have an 8-2 build which is now 8-27, figures!!!

WOW!!!!
Same here, before the last shut down in KC, I was scheduled for 5/13 then pushed to 8/5. I really thought it was going to hold. RIGHT!! I checked on last Wednesday and was all good, then I checked with dealership on the way home from work on Friday, load and behold, it was pushed to 8/30. At this point, I have lost all faith in Ford manufacturing and scheduling. My order will be at 6 months when this 6 build day comes around. We are now at their mercy and the only thing we can do is wait wait and keep waiting. I just hope I get my truck before the snow starts to fall.
