Some of this stuff is just crazy! My very first build date from Ford was 8-2, and I joined this thread at that time and have been actively reading about all of you and your builds. Really glad to see that most have gotten their trucks!

Mine was finally built on 10-8 after 10 different build dates from Ford. I am still waiting for it to show up at the dealer. Supposed to be here on 10-26. Fingers crossed

Just putting out an update so I can get Segev2110 back on the list. And ib_jigged keeps popping in to say 'Hi' so what the heck, they're on the list, too, though not really in 'Limbo' as their truck will hopefully be here soon.

The only other actual 'update' I have is that I have received my SEVENTH End Date (Hurrah!), pushing back from 10/27 to 11/05. I'm not too sad about it since at this point I consider any date they give me as bogus, at least until my truck obtains 'built' status, which it has not, so... in Limbo I remain!

johnbisme, thanks for adding me, you did not need too. It has been fun watching the status of everyone here in this build week, as I was originally here as well. Crazy, how many that have been built after are already getting theirs.

23.4 over 540 miles. It had ~55 miles on it when I picked it up and was less than 20 at the time, so I think I'm probably doing near 24 myself. Maybe 60% highway 40% city. My electric miles were just under 25% of total at 500 miles
I am in L/100km but when converting I’m around 21.5mpg. I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to drive in Eco and using EV Coach. I find if I really want to force it into Electric I need to tap the break for a second or two (annoying).
A short drive out for coffee or groceries and the truck uses all gas and terrible mpg.

I’ve actually been using Normal for 99% of the miles. If you’re doing a lot of short trips that will certainly kill your mileage. The engine needs to warm up and it’s going to run. I never run in electric mode immediately after startup.

A previous vehicle I owned had an “efficiency gauge” and I learned using that how to feather the throttle and get off the gas a little earlier when accelerating and let off the gas early to anticipate stops, and that’s kind of stuck in my driving style. Not driving in grandma mode, but I’m generally as easy going as traffic will allow. I haven’t bothered to try to figure out how the Ford efficiency meter works, but it feels like the way I already drive works with this truck.

I have dipped into boost a few times too though. It’s damn fun.

Well. It came. Dealer called Monday and I picked it up Tuesday. Doesn’t feel real. But it’s a huge upgrade from my 2003 explorer sport trac. Couldn’t be happier. Good luck to those who are still waiting.
Anyone have any recommendations on ceramic coatings?

@Fquinn47 -

I applied a ceramic coating (Carpro cQuartz UK 3.0) when I got my truck back at the beginning of June.

Yesterday, in prep for the winter, I completed a wheels-off cleaning and applied a heat-resistant ceramic coating (Carpro DLUX) to the wheels, the calipers, and all exterior plastic surfaces. Today, I applied an SiO2 sealant (Carpro Reload) to the windows and all painted surfaces. I also applied Perl to the tires.

Here’s a pic from my driveway -

this is helpful, thanks. I think combo of lots of short trips, and wanting to test out acceleration has brought my mpg down to 19...im ok with that for now

Only one update today, but it's a big one (at least for me)...

I got word this weekend that my truck was 'Built' as of Friday. As I understand it, this means it now has all its parts/chips and is released for shipment. Now we wait to see when shipment can be arranged. Some of us went to 'Shipped' very quickly, a few waited some time, but regardless....

I AM FINALLY OUT OF LIMBO.

I actually feel bad about it, because there are others still there... I kind of wanted to be the last out, and was sort of enjoying the 'put upon' status of being kept in the darkness by Ford. I can only say I hope our remaining Limbo-ites get out soon!

We have a few (Dmac, Pixie, Yardail) that may be making the move to off-the-lot trucks. If you do, send pics if you want and let me know so I can take you off the list.

Good to hear you are seeing movement. Has anyone figured out how our Ford Points translates to $$$. I know there is a ratio to use but I cant remember. Its something like every point is worth .05.
