Congrats to Segev2110, who decided to go ahead and grab a grey Tremor rather than keep waiting in Limbo! And with that...

THE 8/2 LIMBO LIST IS OFFICIALLY EMPTY, AND THUS RETIRED

Congrats to us, who are now driving our new trucks. The days, weeks, months were long... but we made it, each and every one of us. No one left behind, everyone with a new ride. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays to all!

And as a coda to this Odyssey, my truck has now received its custom paintwork (tow hooks, engine vents, and grill in Tremor-style, but in bright yellow) and a custom yellow FX4 sticker on the back to tie it all together. Might not be for everyone, but I like it...

@johnbisme Thanks for all your time and effort with the Limbo List. I suspect it was fun for you otherwise you wouldn't have done it :D . But for me, it was fun commiserating, cheering people on, and eventually seeing the deliveries happen.

Love those yellow accents!

That yellow really looks good with the blue. How were they painted?

I would totally rock some red on mine where you added the yellow to yours. ??
That's kind of what I was thinking or possibly a shade of blue

I took it to a custom paint shop run by a guy on the tractor-pull circuit that specializes in custom-painting big rigs, but he agreed to take in my F-150 because it was a small job he could work in. I sent them some reference pics I took of a Tremor at the local dealership, and asked for them to do the same thing for my truck, but in bright, primary yellow.

What made it turn out so good is that they took all the parts off the truck (the hooks, vents, and center bar are all separate assemblies) and painted them separately, no masking needed. They got the primary yellow paint and then some nice glossy protectant since they're on the front of the truck.

The results look great, but the downside, of course, being that since I was paying $75/hour plus materials, it took them about 8 and a half hours to disassemble the grill and other parts, paint them, then put it all back together.

Correction: I went under my truck just now. The part number on my parking brake is for the medium/heavy duty one here:
https://parts.sunsetford.com/p/Ford...r/75155709/JL3Z2B712B.html?partner=googlebase

So I guess I do have everything...
Tried researching the same thing. Became an obsession that led nowhere.

If the parts are exactly the same between a Tow Tech (17T) Lariat PB and Trailer Tow (53A) Lariat PB, and both are then capable of pulling 11k-lbs, Ford has some explaining to do.

Well boys…my truck is dead…

No turn signals
No folding mirrors
No wipers
No blindspot
Service 4x4
Service AdvanceTrack
ShiftSystem Fault
Pre Collision Assist Not Available
Hill Start Assist Not Available
Rear Belt Monitor Fault
Check Locking Differential
PowerTrain Malfunction Reduced Power
Restraints Indicator Lamp

Took it to the local Ford, they had it for 3 days and apparently replaced something behind the dash and said it’s good to go. I get there and fire it up, all this pops up just like it did Tuesday…The truck is undrivable and they said they have no idea what’s wrong with it

I seen that a while back, but ford pass is n not showing i have a recall on the pb, just one on my 87 f150 Lariat, lol.
It might not affect yours. I'm not sure if they had a certain build timeframe for these. With all that snow and now rain in your area not a fun time to crawl underneath. Given how fragile these aluminum driveshafts appear to be, I'd just keep an occasional eye on it for any rubbing from the heat shields.
