Nice thread y'all got here. My truck was built 8/18. Ford tracker shows shipped but no date underneath and no check mark in the tracker under shipped either. Dealer says truck is in Colorado but VVR shows it was in KC lot as of 9/19. Sales manager also mentioned it should be here from 10/3-10/5 but unfortunately I haven't received a call from the dealer today.

I dont know whats going on lol. Is it shipped or not, is it in Colorado or not?

Dealer called me, they show a delivery date between 10/12 and 10/18. Ford’s website still shows it as just “in production” though. I’m crossing fingers this delivery date range is accurate!

What a beauty, Steve! Loving the Red!
Not gonna lie. It’s pretty frustrating to see FMC Official here trying to spread cheer when most of the active people here are sitting in chiphold purgatory.

I agree that people are sour, but you can't knock Ford's social media folks' genuine positive posts when all they're generally stuck with is dealing with issues.

There's nothing these individuals can do to speed up the production of any individual truck, or the broader manufacturing process - I bet they're happy to see good news posts.

Crushing my dreams, lol. I’m going to remain optimistic until that date window is exceeded. I wish they would communicate more though. I’d rather receive a weekly email saying “chip hold with an as-of-now ETA of x” instead of this “every 45 day” business. Here I am willing and waiting to give Ford over 70k for a vehicle, a little more transparency and communication isn’t too much to ask for.

This is exactly what I told the executives I emailed. We understand there are delays, the problem we have is the lack of real communication from Ford. Just be honest, tell us it's delayed and why.

Damned if they do damned if they don’t. Also it’s probably some intern on the account so wouldn’t think much of it either way.

Well, it's been Day 47 since I last heard officially from Ford, and got this today:

Thank you for being a valued Ford customer. We wanted to update you again on the status of your F-150 Platinum order. While we initially predicted your vehicle build would begin week of August 15, 2022, the supply chain challenges we’ve been up against are still causing delays in production that are beyond our control.

We understand how frustrated you may be (we are too), and we apologize for any inconvenience. Rest assured, we are doing all we can to minimize the delays and get you on the road in your new vehicle as soon as possible.

Please continue to look out for updates from us. Once your vehicle is built, we will contact you again. In the meantime, we truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
I'm (safely, I feel) guessing that the information my dealer gave me last week about delivery of my truck is erroneous. 🤬 At this point I'm starting to wonder if I'll even get my '22 in 2022.

Reach out to your sales person or sales manager. They get the commission for selling you your vehicle and have access to the VVR. My sales manager sent my VVR over to me every time I asked (weekly or bi-weekly). If the VVR didn’t change then nothing the email you get from Ford would help, but you’d at least see potential changes in the « disposition ETA »
