what is the ETA to dealer?

long time lurker here but first post. My truck shows "in production" since 6/29. The window sticker indicates a blend date of 6/28. My salesman said ETA of 8/4-8/10 and that's also what Ford chat says. Dealer thought (a week or 2 back) that ETA means at the dealer while Ford chat indicated that it means when it gets built. The dealer's opinion is obviously optimistic but it doesn't seem to make sense for ETA to mean finishing being built. I have a text in with the salesman and he said he's going to check into things and report back tomorrow. Anybody have any insight as to what the real deal is?

Dang. Picking up truck Monday now. Paint guy is out sick, leaving 1 guy overworked.

Sounds like you are on some chip or quality hold. If Ford doesnt show status of shipped, it hasnt shipped.

I would call Ford, not chat. They usually have a little info for you. Do not rely on the tracker. If it shipped, Ford will have railcar or convy info. If not, they will be able to tell you if its on chip hold.

Email from Ford last night..."To ensure your complete satisfaction, we will require additional time...", Believe me Ford, I am not satisfied.
When will it end?

Those are just canned auto emails. I actually recieved that same email when my truck was sitting at the final railyard.

Just ignore those.

It would be easier to ignore if I was amongst the "shipped" crowd. Not seeing any progress is the reason for my frustration.
Just 2 out of 17 6/27 week trucks on this forum have not shipped yet. This just feels like a punch to the gut...especially when I see another truck that was a 6/27 week truck shipped to my state and delivered within 5 days of being built. (and 12 out of 17 delivered to dealer and/or collected as of today)

Sales guy called me today. We got everything completed via phone/email today. $1,350 price protection was no issue. $2,100 in discounts beyond the x-plan. happy with trade in on my 2019 Ranger, right at NADA/KBB. Final out the door price came in well under MSRP of $46,000 before trade.

Only issue is I was not able to use the $2,500 PCO offer that expired during the wait. Sales guy stated what they have been doing is sending complaint back to ford. Ford sends check me check for $2,500. He stated none have been denied to this point since Ford could not deliver vehicle in time.

Should be all set to sign and Drive on Monday.

chat told me today that I'm on a chip hold and that it'll be ready to ship by 8/10 end of day (today). Suggested that I check again in a day or so. We will see!

I laugh but I really do hope you don't have too many miles when you pick it up.
