Great idea, I bet that will help a lot, I'll probably do that tomorrow as well when I drop it off
Just have them bring it down to the bottom of the black “T” molded into the windshield, behind the rear view mirror.

In this shot, if I didn’t go that far down, you would see the black “T” I am referring to.

totally random, but I just checked my as-built data. My first round of as-builts have updated on the motorcraft service website, as has my last round of as-builts, so all of them are updated. My last round was around Jan 16th according to this thread, I guess my first round was mid-December, I'd have to look back at this thread to figure out when. But at least I don't have to worry about updates knocking out my FORScan changes
Yup, same for me. It only took a week or so for my changes to embed into the as-builts.

I checked mine a couple of weeks ago, I cannot remember if it was before or after my last round of changes, but I know my first round of changes had not been backed up on Ford's servers yet, so if I had to guess, mine was roughly 6 weeks to be updated/backed up

A good buddy helped me with pinning my HCM today, he showed me a trick to pull the terminals in... the HCM connector holes are really small and the jacket on the 22 ga wire is apparently too big, but we figured out a way around it. I also got the correct ride height sensors in today, so this weekends project is going to be getting those ride height sensors installed and finish pulling all of the wire, which is pretty much done.

Finally I have to figure out the FORScan changes to make the auto-level work. I think I could probably figure it out by scouring the as-built spreadsheet, but if anyone has any insight, that would be great

One step closer to full headlamp functionality.

I got the HCM pinned for the auto level on Friday with the help of @JHForman812. Those tiny little terminals gave us hell.

Today I installed the front and rear LHS ride height sensors and wired them in. The hole for the control arm bolt on the front sensor is untapped. @Jmeo told me it could’ve been self tapping, and he may have been right, but I didn’t wanna take any chances because I really only get one shot installing this before I screw up the control arm hole. I used an M8x1.25 tap and it worked perfectly.

Then I finished the wiring, installed the terminals and inserted them into the connector. I ran the wire through a grommet in the drivers floor board, then along the frame, into the engine bay, then down to the sensor. I tried to take the same path as OEM.

Ford F-150 501A to 502A C73EB0CF-B42A-4A20-ADC8-8B6A98C24E59

Then I did the same with the rear. I ran the wires over top of the frame, I didn’t go over the gas tank as there just wasn’t any room to do so, so I kept the wires on top of the frame/under the bed and dropped it down just aft of the axle

I also added the mounting plate for the rear heated seat module. These also require self tapping screws which I didn’t have, but I did have a tap set for some 1/4-20 screws I had sitting around so I just used those.

I’ll work on the as-built updates for the auto level headlamp tomorrow, this work took me about 6 hours

Hey @Jesse-Infotainment or @ROBB1 can either of you help me with the as-built changes required to get the auto-level to work? So far I have:

734-01-01xxxx**xxxx--Dynamic Headlamp Leveling: 00=Off, 01=On - Analog Input, 02=On-CAN Input, 03=On - PWM Input
734-01-03xxxxxxxx**--Leveling With GFHB: 00=No Leveling for Lower Border, 01=Leveling for Lower Border

I did not see anything immediately obvious as far as changes in any other modules. I have only added the two LHS sensors. no VDM

Interesting, and your auto-level works with that? That's exactly what I had loaded in mine before I enabled glare free. I haven't driven the truck yet to know for sure if it works or not, I just assumed it wouldn't until I made FORScan changes.

Yes. Analog is correct for the height sensors.. I’ve had it like this for day one they work perfectly fine.

I did notice that the headlamps did a slightly different movement on startup, but thought it was in my head since I installed the sensors and just wanted them to work. Well it looks like I should be good to go, thanks again, Jesse!

Well I couldn’t tell if the auto-level was working or not, sometimes it looked like it was, but I couldn’t really tell. I guess I need to get out FORScan and see if there’s are still DTC’s persisting. There were several DTC’s prior to installing them for auto level not working. I think 5 or 6.

Was there a part number associated with that mounting plate Dolsen? I'm going to start working my rear heated seats tonight

I know totally of topic, but what’s the size of that sun strip? Looking to get mine done soon, and have been wondering what size to get. I know that I want it lower than the AS-1 line. Thanks

You can see where it starts by the black area behind the mirror and I would say 12" down on the sides. I am not near my truck for a day or so to take any hard measurements. I think @dolsen followed suite and did the same thing I did, so maybe he can answer better for me?
