The original piece just peels off?
You have to remove it from the truck, then disassemble it from the back....there are some "squished" plastic pegs that need to be ground down to remove the part(s) you want to replace. I used Permatex Black Plastic Welder #84145 to fill the gaps and bond it to the vent. The main reason I used this particular "epoxy" is that you can paint it.

Mustang 5.0 badge right where the 6.2L V8 badge goes on gen 1 Raptor door looks the best from what I mocked up. Here is location.

It's missing a HEMI, Type R, and a GT-RS3 badging! 😅 :p

This is the proper badging for the first-generation Raptor Shelby or ROUSH with their corresponding SVT Performance packages. No Cobra badging was ever used.

I did see those before, don’t mind them but it would be cool to retain the F150 badge on the fender vent. Would be a more subtle and OEM look in my opinion. I was trying to get a friend of mine that works at a sign shop to do something up for me, but he’s always so busy.

Could you measure the length and width of the badge you put on the tailgate? Wondering if I could somehow make that work where I want.
I'd like to maintain the F-150 with a more pronounced 5.0L emblem as well. That guy on Etsy does custom work, so maybe I'll see if he can come up with something in the F-150 font.

The piece on the tailgate is 5-11/16" W x just a hair over 3/4" H. It has a slight bevel from back to front (the adhesive part is slightly larger than the engraved part).

This is the part on Amazon
Coyote emblem

@Rinn69 How do you get at the vent? From wheel well, door opening, or under the hood? I have to go look today.

Dang, you would spend time behind bars for a logo redesign by Ford Ltd. Co., only?!

Phew, talk about being extreme! /S

Just in case no one was not aware of Ford's vehicle logo vetting practices, they are made by a third-party company, such as DeeZee, etc. Etsy has some very legit small business companies.

totally agree would be fine with non oem if they looked quality. Everything in this thread I see looks otherwise though.

So define "quality" for us. It's cute that you think "Ford" oem badges are high quality and aren't made by the lowest bidder.

We are working with what's available out there, trying to play around a bit. It's adhesive, comes off in a matter of seconds. What's the harm in trying to do something different?

And for the record, I'm not offended. I just never understood why people have to voice opinions on something they don't care for when no harm is being done. If it's not your thing, no need to go on about it.

The 5.0 badge I put on the back of mine is OEM for the Mustang. Granted, it doesn't come from the factory that way, so it's not OEM placement of course.

Slapped some 5.0L badges on my Lariat BAP but it's tough to find fonts that go well with the F-150 font.

The goal was to add something similar to what my old 1988 Mustang GT had on the lower front fenders, the "5.0" badges down low between the wheel wells and the doors. Turns out our fenders have an odd shape down there and the emblems wouldn't fit flush. So I put them above the fender grill thingy. Jury is still out.

During my search, I saw some that looked similar to the "Ecoboost" badges on the tailgates of those trucks and figured why not do that, too? I've seen guys do this before on here, but I didn't want chrome and none of the color combinations or fonts really excited me, including the "coyote head" style. So I bought an all-black version, then realized you couldn't really see it. Fired up a gray paint marker, and am happy with the results overall.

Just some stupid fun in the boring winter months...

I actually put ones similar to the ones you used on your tailgate above my side vents.

I thought about that, as well. They are definitely easier to read in that spot than on the tailgate.

Did you install the FP side vents yourself? It looks like you can just pry them out with a plastic tool and snap them back in.

I put some painters tape around the vent and used a plastic pry tool to get it off. The metal clips/clamps that hold it in place are pretty strong, just take your time. There are a few videos on YouTube too.

The only badge I'd add to a 5.0 would be one from Whipple.. 🤷‍♂️
