5.0L 0-60

Was looking for a video on this, here is a 2022 mashing the go pedal. I read on MotorTrend they got 5.9 seconds for the 5.0 in 2018 on a Lariat then 6.2 seconds on a King Ranch for 2021 but that doesn’t make much sense lol. This puts it square in the upper 5 second range. Andre at TFL also states in this the 5.0 would do 5.6-5.7 at sea level with how it did at a mile above. They are trucks, who cares…I know I know…but still cool they are fast

I don't know about all that but when I have some a-hole in front of me on the freeway, alone in his Subaru Outback wearing his mask, doing 55 in a 65 where everyone else is doing 75... my 5.0 RCSB 4x4 F150 VERY quickly places his dumb ass in my rear-view mirror where he belongs!

Probably had low o2 levels from the face diaper as well as elevated CO2 levels. Might as well have been drunk.

I prefer this guy's approach. Same magical protection.

Here are some interesting numbers I snapped from a TFL video testing the 2.7, 3.5, and 5.0, each stock and then again with the 5Star tune. I have the 5.0 but this makes the little 2.7 look damned impressive.

Fast enough. It's been a few years, but many states limit is 65, 70 if lucky. Some rural areas haev 75 and I've heard stories of the Dakotas of 80 limit. 75-80 is standard in Europe, with Germany having no limit sections on the autobahn. I've never had issues merging, passing, etc. with the 5.0. It is actually overkill when you have no load.

I have 3.31 ratio and hit governor on autobahn very fast. MPG quickly goes down to single digits when driving at 106 prolongely though. Anything over 70 really kills it. Impossible to drive at 60-65 here. Best mileage I got was England, highway limit was 60 for country roads and 70 for the interstate. Hit 24 mpg.

This is a mile above sea level, so the true times for the 5.0 would be 1 second better at sea level with it being naturally aspirated. TFL is always careful to note that, turbo engines test better where they are in Colorado with the thin air density. Car and Driver yielded 1 second better on their test of last gen 5.0L 4x4 Lariat @5.9 seconds (sea level)

I know TFL is in CO, but I'm not sure where they filmed this. They might have gone to 5Star's home turf in SC. Kinda looks like SC.

I’m sort of doubting that’s South Carolina just because I have never seen a 5.0L test that slow since a 1st gen steel body. 7 seconds is about what a 2011 6-speed would do. Unless they got a factory sloth lol, but nobody else has mimicked these numbers.
