36 Gallon Gas Tank Swap

I apologize, as i know there is a thread with this but, my questions weren’t exactly answered in that thread. I am swapping my 26 gallon tank, to a 36 gallon, on my 2023 5.0. I already got the tank, fuel pump, gasket, and the straps. Is there anything else I should keep an eye out on? Do all the connectons from my original vapor lines etc just hook up no problem? From what I have read here and elsewhere, the only thing that you need to be exact on is the fuel pump assembly unit and sender. I was in the process of doing this and have temp backed off because of the DTE issue still not solved, as I understand it.

Okay that’s what I was thinking, I grabbed the fuel pump part number off a truck that came with a 5.0 and extended gas tank. Got in my own head that I’m gonna need a lot more stuff than I gave it credit for lol

As you know, the other post you are in about this is very helpful. It looks like a simple straight forward job, I think there are some connections to be very cautious of and to KNOW how to correctly release them so that you dont break them and have to buy new lines. Good look and post some picts of your work!

You have to flash teh PCM with a 36 gallon strategy. It is the only way to make it work

For us novice's can you tell us, I assume that is something different than playing the guessing game in Forscan with the "gallons" number? This is something that must be done via FDRS?
