Is anyone else getting excited about the order banks opening as Ford has promised? We are about 3 weeks away from Ford opening the order banks for Fall 2021 :ROFLMAO:

My dealer emailed last week to say they would call me November 29 to take my configuration/order. So, it seems they expect the order banks to open soon. I am trying to not expect delivery for at least a year.

:ROFLMAO: dealers are hilarious. It would be great though if the order banks were to open up tomorrow. But seeing as there isn't even a build and price available, I doubt it.

Yep Ford is still saying “you’ll be able to place your order in Fall 2021” so here’s hoping.

Gotta go shovel the driveway now.

No dealers have final options availability or pricing so I don't think they can get an accurate build from anyone yet.

Just rambling on a lot of flack Ford has received about their release dates the past few years: Fall doesn't end until the second half of December and it always surprises me that so many people think it's over before December just like Spring goes later than probably most people on the street would acknowledge.

That said, I'm stoked to see how I end up configuring my EV-150. I reserved XLT, because an XLT Sport is the happy medium for me between creature comforts and using it as a truck was intended. I love the heated and cooled seats, but leather in a truck doesn't work for me when I want to go hunting, to the dump, or wherever. Yes, I plan on flogging this thing like I have all my other F150s... it will be a learning curve, though.

My big gripes would be a color lockout, e.g. no Race Red on Base 2021 Broncos, or a universal garage remote only on the highest trim; see also: 2021 Bronco Lux, lol.

I figure 2 years unless you were a day one reservation. Better to have lower expectations.

"Ford has previously shared plans to produce 15,000 Lightning trucks in 2022, 55,000 in 2023, and 80,000 in 2024."

I'm in first 20,000 and I won't see F150EV until 2023.

Not sure why I thought it was '21 for first 50,000 similar to MachE but as it stands, delivery is close to two years out.

Going to be a lot of EV's coming out in '22 and '23. See if I end up hanging for the F150. Planned on MachE with this years taxes then switched to F150 thinking late '21 delivery. The MachE is sold out, the F150EV is two years out.

Means driving the Tesla two more years.

Same here. I have a GTPE on order but I might cancel that. The 5 second full power limit is atrocious. I might end up going back to a Model 3 while I wait for the Lightning. I would keep my F-150 but with resale being great and gas prices not going back down it’s time to go back to an EV

MachE GT? It says 3.8 secs 0-60, a tenth of a second off the Model 3 Performance at 3.7. What is the 5 second issue above?

Did you watch the complete video or just look at numbers? It is well known about the 5 second limit Ford has put on the GT. It basically loses every performance metric to the Model Y.

Looks like the 5 sec. max output manifests itself in the quarter mile, 102 mph for Ford and 115 mph for Tesla. I shouldn't be driving at either one of those speeds and doubt I'd notice the 0.10 sec passing slow traffic on coast roads on the weekend.

It’s anytime you put down full power not just the quarter mile, meaning it’s slow as a dog at speed. The regular Mach-E has no such issues. Either way, I am hoping the Lightning does not end up having this same issue.

I guess if you call 0-60 in 3.8 seconds "doggie".
