So I will be ordering the Tremor, outside of final color I pretty much know what I want except the gearing.... outside of towing reasons what are you going with (or recommend) and why?
Thanks!

On the Tremor, 4.10 gears are mostly as an option for the people who intend to add larger diameter tires.

Usually lower gears are chosen for better acceleration too, but with ten forward gears, 1st gear can be shorter which makes that less of a reason; my 3.73 equipped truck is usually already in third gear at a walking pace.

Here's a generic gear ratio/rpm/tire diameter chart for an unknown engine/transmission combination:

Interesting - the Tremor comes with 33" so the engine/trans combo must move the chart... I wonder how much? At some point I would upgrade the tire/wheel combo but only to max 35

Charts aside because I'm not a mechanic... If you will offroad in deep snow/mud/sand on a regular basis and you don't want to get pulled out as often or will be by yourself, 4.10 from the factory is a good idea. I had a heavily outfitted Tacoma on 33's with stock gearing that just couldn't maintain in the really deep stuff and it got me stuck on occasion. Granted a 3.5 EB (stock Tremor?) has a lot more torque, if you will load it down with camping gear and a family it will lose some oompf that could help you maintain traction. I'm adventuresome and woud get stuck in bad places and by myself often... Stock Raptors come with 4.10 gears and 315/75R17 wheels... However, for resale, most people only look at MPG and don't realize the difference. My guess is that if you are already asking the question, you aren't 'yet' into heavier off-roading and probably won't upgrade to 35's in the near future. If you will upgrade to 35's or anticipate more off-roading (not fire roads or improved trails to state campgrounds) then I highly recommend 4.10s. I bought an XLT and wish it was an option. Thanks to teh Tremor, I might be able to beg my dealership to install 4.10 and Torsen front diff.

The Tremor is 3.73 only , not 4.10. 4.10 is Raptor only.
This ⬆ its been confirmed that even with Torsen, Tremor gearing remains 3.73. won't be adding any 35s....
