Which gear ratio is needed for max performance in the 1/8 mile & 1/4 mile? (21 F150 RCSB 4X4 5.0) I have heard 7th gear is weakest gear in higher hp applications. Any truth to that?

Some truth to that in the mustang, but if you work out that 7th gear is likely at or after the speed limiter with a Whipple blower, it really shouldn’t matter.

Optimum gearing depends on tires, I have ordered a SCREW, which will benefit from 3.73’s with the stock 20’s - And it gets the 9.75” rear end (better), and it also allows for a Trutrac LSD.
