Same issue on my 2021 platinum 3.5EB Has 12k on it now. Techs said it was normal, I put my foot down to get some answers. Walked away with a free 100k mile bumper to bumper warranty to “ease my mind” we shall see. Never had any issues with my previous 2.7 eco boosts.

Mine does it too. Been to multiple dealerships who can’t find a code, or an issue. Feel it in the seat. No misfire, just seems like an odd fire sequence, or retard timing.

Fill it with 93 octane
My '21 3.5 EB gets filled with 87 octane regularly. Every once in a while I'll notice a rough idle. Not enough that the truck is shaking badly, but enough that family noticed and commented. I was at 3/4 tank and topped it off with 93 when that happened and I feel like the roughness went away. Could have been in my head though.

Lol I’ve been telling myself that for 2,000 miles. Again, not enough to vibrate truck or hear a miss, but enough vibes to feel in seat/door panels. Sometimes it’s not as bad. But again best truck other then that

My current 3.5, as well as my 16 3.5 both had a little bit of rough idle. Had 105K on the 16 and never had an issue.
Yea I seem to read many posts saying the same. And others say it’s not normal. So at this point who really knows. Very annoying. Possibly a deal breaker for me. But time will tell. Such a shame because the truck drives flawless other than the idle.

My 2021 3.5 eco-boost had the same issue at 9500 miles. Was told it’s “normal” too. Never got an answer or fix. Eventually sold it for another F150

I noticed the difference in shuddering when in boost. Idk about the idle quality difference.
I've been running 91 octane (premium in Colorado) in every tank. I haven't noticed any shuddering while accelerating. Perhaps that's due to running premium fuel.

It hasn't helped the rough idle though. I am shocked at how rough the 3.5 PowerBoost idles, as is everyone who rides with me. While stopped and idling, the transition from a smooth electric motor with a sudden >1000 RPM jolt and very rough idling ICE really diminishes the hybrid experience.

Never experienced rough idle in my '21 so far (~10k miles).. but I have experienced the "shuddering" while accelerating.

Which configuration do you have? Powerboost? 2.7?

Mine does the same thing. On my older ecoboost I would narrow the spark plug gap and the shudder would go away at idle. I haven’t had the chance on my 21 but I feel like I need to check the plug gaps. Remember Ford will not go below the gap spec. I usually like to run my gap a couple of thousands below spec and it always smoothed the shutter.
