This is my 3rd ecoboost and I knew what I was going to get as far as mileage goes. I buy the ecoboost because the power is fantastic and they pull amazing.
So it doesn't surprise you that I'm only getting 12MPG? This is my first Ford truck and was hoping to do better than my old 2012 Yukon. It's hard to imagine going from a V8 to a V6 with a light driving foot would not result in better mileage than a 10 year old truck.

My truck is two weeks old with about 900 miles on it and just did about a 1200 mile road trip, did about every type of driving, HWY setting the cruise at 80mph, mountain, city and then about 400 miles of head wind through the desert and still averaged 19.1 MPG. Was very happy coming from a Tundra that probably would have gotten 12 - 13 MPG. 3.5 ecoboost 4x4 XLT 302A with tow package by the way.

I have about 2,000 miles on mine and mileage has been getting better. Was around 15 to start but lots of remote starting since it was so cold here. Lately its been more in the 17-18 range with a mix of driving. On an all highway trip at 75mph I can get about 20 on the dash and 18.5-19 with the fill up and doing the math.

This is with regular unleaded. Not bad but I was hoping for better if I’m babying the gas pedal. Maybe once we switch over to summer blend gas it will get better.

I'm at ~750 miles on my 2021 F-150 Lariat. I've been extremely disappointed in the MPG. Sticker was 18 city, 23 highway on the 3.5L V6 EcoBoost. I averaged 12.6 for the first 500 miles. I then put 295/60/R20s and the leveling kit and the MPG dropped to 12.3. I understand the drop with the tires and kit... but ~12 MPG when the sticker says 18 MPG is pretty upsetting. I even wrote the dealership and asked if others were complaining. Not even close to Ford's claim. Even at 15 MPG, I would understand.
Yeah, that’s horrible MPG in stock form. The worst that I ever had in my former ‘18 Screw 4X4, 3.5EB and 3.55 axle was about 17.5 in the dead of winter. Normally in the winter I’d get about 19-19.5. Summer months I’d get about 20.5-20.8 consistently.

Yea you can get that with stock tires but not heavy 10 ply tires in the 33" range. I avg 15 cruising around and 17 at best on the hwy. This has been the same with my last 3 ecoboost trucks.

No 12 is surprising. I see around 15 just cruising around with the same setup as yours. I can get 16-17 on the interstate. If you leave the stock tires you could definitely do better but I am not a stock tire kind of guy.

I'm going to take it back to the dealerships and ask them to take a look at it. Sounds like 12.3MPG is way too low. Thanks for the feedback everyone!

My 4x2 3.5 EB Lariat in Normal mode is averaging right around 20 mpg in town driving. Approximately 800 miles on it. Roughly same as my 2017 EB but without turbo lag now I’m thinking due to twin turbos.

Interested in what you learn - I am wanting similar size tires as yours (once I find my truck) but thinking that I will stick with "p" size to save the weight hit, but that seems to mean using Nitto Terra G2's instead of Ridge grapplers

Put leveling kit and 35x11.50 on today at 1,000 miles on the dot. First 1,000 miles hand calculated 19.7mpg (20.3mpg on dash) with a mix of break in driving maybe slightly more interstate at 75-80. Short trip home 30 miles and averaged 18.5mpg. I will say it definitely is going to hurt the mpgs. Before the level and tires I barely had to touch the gas and very rare to see turbo spool, now I’ve got to put a little more foot into it when going up hills.

I'm avg 14.8mpg. i don't know what fuel the dealership filled it up with. I only have driven 150 miles with average speed of 40 mph all stop and go and drive pretty aggressive. I'm on 295/60-20 Nitto RG, crew cab 4x4, max tow w/ 3.55 gears. Its been cold here in the Midwest.
I’m about 650 miles in, also running 295/60/20 BFG All Terrains on a 2” level 4x4 with 3.31 gears. Also getting 14.8 mpg. I need a long trip and switch it to Eco and see how it does.

I am currently averaging from the time I picked up the truck about 16, with a far amount of remote starts and about 1.5 hours of sitting in the driveway with the motor on playing with all the settings... 3.5 EB with 3.55 rear end, mostly city driving.

well expect to be between 17 and 18 based on last truck... I also drive it more like a race car than a truck. Spend the majority of the time in Sport mode.
