Took a brief road trip with my wife today. Was pretty happy with the results.

I'm going to take it back to the dealerships and ask them to take a look at it. Sounds like 12.3MPG is way too low. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
Reading thru this again. Did you get it looked at? And what was the feedback?

Mileage has improved for me over time. Just over 3000 miles on the truck at this point. Last trip was 23.4 mpg cruising at 75. Pretty pleased with that TBH. Stock 4x4 platinum EB max tow.

I’m clearly doing something wrong. Even if I drive like a granny, I’m only getting 17.5mpg with 87 and close to 19.5 mpg on 93 octane by the computer. Unfortunately when I do the math at the pump it’s actually about 1 mpg less than that. I have just under 2k miles on the truck.

That is amazing. I have a stock 4x4 platinum EB max tow with 4k miles and I don’t get anywhere near 23MPG. On a flat stretch of freeway I’m lucky if I get 21MPG at 75 MPH.

For all I know I had a tailwind for that drive. That was from Houston to Dallas. From Dallas to Houston a few days earlier I did 21.8 MPG per the computer.

Wow. I'm pretty surprised how bad some of the MPG in here is.

I got the 3.5 on an FX4 with 20" wheels.

Over the last 4,000 miles or so I am getting exactly 20MPG average. That's not interstate driving, I live in rural america. Lots of stop signs, curvy roads and some red lights.

On the interstate driving it back home I hit 25MPG and sustained it over a 150 mile drive.

I drove 689 miles today on a round trip to visit another office. Averaged 22.4 mpg on the way down and 21.7 overall so about 21 mpg on the way back. (On the computer) I think I had the wind at my back on the way down and a headwind on the way back.

this was in eco mode. most Of the tank was premium but I topped off about 6 gallons of mid grade before I left.

I ran the tank down to 0 miles to empty and went another 20 miles. Filled up with 32.0 gallons. Calculated 21.5 mpg on the fill-up so computer is a little off but getting closer then when it was new.

I had a '19 302A with the 3.5 EB and averaged probably 17 mixed driving. I got 20+ on the highway if I kept it below 75. I have gotten 20 on the highway with my '20 302A with the 5.0 V8. But if I have mostly town driving I can drop to 14-15.

For Mother's day I drove from San Antonio to Ft Worth with cruise set at 70 (even in 75 zones due to wet roads) I averaged almost 25 mpg. Once I hit Ft Worth and had to get off cruise and deal with traffic it went down a smidge. 36gal tank oh yeah!

Do you happen to have a 3.73 rear axle?

The 3.31 should get the best at highway miles. 6.7 Power Stroke guys are saying that they are getting 20+ highway with a 10 speed and 3.31 gears. Phenomenal for a truck that size that rocks 1000 lbs of torque.

I have the Max tow package so it’s the 3.55. I do wonder if the tow might might make a little difference. I’ve also noticed that my MPG seems to be less if I use the cruise control.

Road tripped from SF to SD last weekend - 91 Octane, eco mode and cruise control. I mostly averaged 70 to 75 MPH except for an 80 mile stretch from OC to SD that was entirely stop and go (2 to 3 hours). I averaged 20 MPG. I’m continually surprised by other’s MPG.…
