By averaging you mean averaging on the highway because a 4wd 3.5 F150 isn't going to average 18.2 with those tires if you are stopping and going.
I mean an overall blend of both. In the 1,500 miles since I have put the KO2s on I have averaged 18.1 mpg (down 1 since my last post). I drive a pretty decent mix of highway and city driving. When I drove up to Sherman and back (2 hrs round trip), I averaged about 19.5 mpg, which is factored in. So, you can surmise that I am about 17.5ish for city. I am rarely stuck in freeway gridlock though. This is about a 2-2.5 mpg hit, which I don't consider insignificant, but acceptable.

I’ve had my eco-boost for about seven weeks now. And I have to say, MPG on it isn’t good. Vehicle average since purchase is 15.1 mpg, bone stock I got 19 to 20.5 on the freeway. After the level and upsize to 34 inch tires, I am averaging about 16 to 18 (lucky on the 18) on the highway with an overall average of 13.7. Kinda missing my 3.0 powerstroke at the moment lol. Obviously the power of the truck is far better than the powerstroke, and you get pro power on board too, but it would be nice to at least get 18 on the highway consistently LOL.
I recently purchased the 3.5 EcoBoost in a 18' F150 XLT less than 40k miles. Daily driver getting 17 mpg in town, haven't had it on the road since bringing it home, 3 weeks ago. Hope for 23, but time will tell.

just did an approx 80 miles at 75 and approx 15 at 60, with 3 at 20 mph, and one passing lane on toll 49 at 98 to 99 for almost entire passing lane getting around the 65 slow rollers
she is smooth at 95 for certain
still only displaying 18 mpg
my 13 and my 16 got 19.1 at those speeds
starting to get irritated
this was with normal and 4 A for 1/2 trip

then i took a 2400 mile quick trip to south fl and back over 4 days MPH ranged from 70 to 75 or more for hours on end
mpg was 21 plus and some times 22 plus
back at home mpg is now hovering 21 plus. but dropping off a bit.
i guess the road trip was needed to blow out the build up  6500 miles now on clicker

Y’all need to hand calculate. My trucks mpg calculations are off by as much as 10-15%. At 5.030 miles on the odometer my last tank using Eco with a mix of city and Highway driving, staying out of boost as much as possible, with only a couple of auto starts on cold mornings my Trip 1 computer showed 16.5mpg for the tank. When hand calculated it was 15.1. Honestly the mpg for the 3.5 eb is terrible, but I didn’t buy it for mpgs.

22 ecoboost 3.5, 4x4 crew cab, reverse level. 22mpg lifetime average over 3200 miles. Best 25, worst 15.6 pulling light trailer. Most efficient truck I've ever owned by far.

What kind of mpg you’re seeing when cruising 75-80?

Most of my driving is 55 to 70. I have done some interstate driving but I can’t remember honestly. I think I was getting 21 but that may be wrong. I do have the highway gears. Haven’t pulled anything heavy yet, hoping the 10 speed helps it pull with the high gearing.

Getting 15.2-15.5 running E-30 tune but I have not hand calculated it but around 16.5 running 87 octane with some e-30 to make it around 93 octane before the tune.

With pump gas maybe 17 if i am lucky but i have alot of 75 MPH highways that we cruise at 85. I do miss the 2.7 mileage. heck my 16 2.7 2wd would get 25-26 mpg even driving it moderate to hard.

You have the baby the 3.5 to return 17 mpg and that just is not worth the effort. I decided to drive it how I feel and pay the extra five to ten bucks a tank for the fun. Towing my 10 ft tail 24 foot long 3 horse slant with 2 tack rooms with three very fat horses I return around 8-9 mpg going 75 but it is a huge wind sail but that truck pulls it awesome, even up hills I pass other people pulling trailers with ease and that is without a tow tune but also burning more fuel so its a win/lose situation.

You pay to play for sure with the 3.5. I think if they redesigned the 3.5 to be more like the 2.7 it would make more power and be more efficient imo then the current design or use the 3.0 and bump it up in torque. You get big block hp and torque you get the returned mileage.

Hand calculated I’m getting 17 city 20-21 hwy. Overall mpg with 7K mi on the clock is 19. Best hwy I’ve ever seen was 23. It definitely is eco OR boost. Sport mode brings me down in the 13+ range.

Most of my trips are shorter than 60 miles and so no reason to drive faster than 72 mph and if I am making a very short trip of 20 miles or less I drive at 55-65 mph. The result is my truck is now averaging 22 mpg overall with a range of 21 to 24 mpg.

I get the best fuel economy at 45-55 mph and pay a penalty when going faster or slower. I have no reason to drive at 80 mph and instead simply leave the house 5 minutes sooner to get to an appointment.

Yeah, that short of a trip, going 80 won’t make a difference. A 1000 mile trip for a two week vacation on the other hand…. The difference is almost 2 hours between going 70 and going 80.

You have to baby it to get 17?? With pump gas? My 2012 steel-bodied tank gets better than that and it’s a first-gen 3.5 with 113K miles on it. Just got back from a long road trip which averaged 17.3 for the entire trip. I think on the home stretch from Tennessee to Louisiana, I was getting about 19+ going 73-75 mph which really surprised me seeing how it was still January with the winter gas.

Yes sir, both of my 3.5 with 3:55 get around the same. My drives my 21 and gets a little better then I do but, no kidding its horrible. But with the 75 MPH highways going 80-85 to keep up with traffic is most of the issue. I kept the same tire size to keep it from dropping more. My bed cover helps when I have it on I get about .3-.5 better with it

Owned my 2022 3.5 for 2weeks now. I have a level kit with 33” tires. Have to be honest I was expecting better, currently 14.3 with combined driving. My 2019 5.0 with a level kit and 33” tires got a steady 14.1.
