Getting advertised fuel economy on my stock 3.5. I decided to keep the factory config and added a roll on bed cover for now and have been impressed. I've leveled trucks in the past because I like how they look but it kills the factory aerodynamics.

I have a 2022 4x2 Lariat Screw, 3.55 rear end, and stock tires 275/60-20 (Goodyear all season). Truck now has 4300 miles. The 3.5 ecoboost is a great engine, as far as I'm concerned. Traveling to Kentucky from Louisiana we averaged 24.1 mpg, mostly interstate. The average in the city is 19.5 with easy throttle most the time. Always running in normal mode, and haven't tried Eco yet. Pulling a 19 foot bass boat, I get 16.7 at speeds around 65mph. The pulling power is great and all of this is on 87 octane. Haven't tried the 91 and probably won't. LOM was about 1 mpg high, so I've changed that using the engineering mode, as described in other posts. The mileage stated above was all hand calculated. My previous truck was a chevy silverado 5.3, that got 15.5 average lifetime.

It would be helpful to know how many miles on the odometer and the truck gearing. The fuel economy seems to improve the more hours that are put on the engine.

Can anyone share what kind of mileage they’re getting with 3.5 while cruising 75+ like they do here in the South? I’ve seen many claims but they are either embellishing or they making claims based on speeds below 65. If I went 65 or under where I normally drive, I’ll wind up as a hood ornament. I‘m lucky to get 18 flat at 75 with my 6000 pound tank with the first gen 3.5. And that’s with summer gas.

So far my 3.5 with ~600 miles on it is getting 23-23.5 mpg. This is mostly highway and values are coming from the truck calculations. Normally the truck computes 1 to 1.5 too high. I’ll hand-calculate soon.

Last trip down to San Diego I was getting 23-24, with real values being about 5% lower (I hadn't done the engineering mode correction yet).

3.5EB 157" Lariat with the always-on/non-eIWE front 4X4 axles, 1.5" of level, and tonneau, doing 73 mph. 3400mi on the clock.

That is excellent! And you have the same exact configuration I want: A 500a 157" 4wd. I'm just split between the 3.5 and 5.0.

Unfortunate that you are intimidated by lead footed drivers on the highways. I want to get up to a speed to merge safely with traffic but after that I will get in the far right lane if I need to do so to drive at 70 mph. Plenty of idiots driving by at 80+ mph and then taking the next exit so they burned extra gas to save 20 seconds.

Semi truck and trailer drivers can get 6 mph or 10 mpg with the same rig and the same load on the same route. The "10" drivers are greatly sought by the fleet operators as they save the company serious money.

I can't answer for myself as I don't travel at that speed, however my Brother in law has a 2020 f150, 3.5 with max tow who regularly gets 18 or so traveling around 75 mph. Your mpg really drops at higher speeds.

I don't believe one gets an EB 3.5 for fuel savings, really.
I've had them all; 2.7, 3.5 and now 5.0.
5.0 and 3.5 are very similar in fuel consumption from my experience. The 2.7 on the other hand is a noticeable improvement but doesn't feel like the drive of a traditional truck.

I never once got more than 19 mpg in my 3.5.
With my 5.0, I'm getting 20+ consistently.
