After receiving 3.5.4 the ford navigation is defaulting to miles as the distance. It should be km.
I have to go into settings, general, units. It still says km but I have to click to select miles and click again to select km, exit the menu and the nav will show km again.

This gets reset every time back to miles after you power cycle the truck.

Anyone have this issue? Reco for a fix? Thx

Happening to me as well…but the cluster still shows KM’s for turn-by-turn directions…super annoying

I read somewhere on here to cycle the truck on and off several times and eventually it will correct itself. You can also try resetting the APIM by holding down radio power button and forward seek with the truck running until the screen reboots.

It's been 10 days, the truck has been power cycled 30+ times since.
Tried the reboot as you mentioned probably 5 or so times since as well.

This looks like a legit software bug @Ford Motor Company

Dunno, i find ford nav to be so absurdly atrocious that i never use it. Even just navigating a few blocks down the street it wants to take me way out of the way. Waze is where it’s at.

Has anybody seen an improvement in this problem? I had my truck at the dealer Feb 28 and when I described the problem just go blank looks and they had the truck half a day and couldn’t even look at it. I’m very unhappy with this truck, the dealer, and Ford in general.

Unfortunately a known fix is not available yet. A newer apim update is slowly rolling out. Maybe it will have the fix?? 🤞

I understand that Waze has successfully garnered a loyal following. And no doubt on its legitimate merit. It offers a somewhat unique experience for those that commute in specific conditions.

But I personally don't think the Sync4 navigation, which I believe currently uses "Here" mapping technology, is atrocious. 🙄🤣

At least I haven't experienced any atrocious routing suggestions. If I feel there's an alternative to the route, I simply deviate and it adjusts accordingly.

The fact that it is native to Sync4, opens it to hands-free Alexa commands, which is awesome!

Sounds like you have some navigation routing choices improperly set. I can see where if someone has been using a particular navigation service for a couple of years, a person could be reluctant to investigate a new system, though. Sync 4 navigation is so much more conversation friendly compared to Sync3 which required specific word choices when using verbal routing commands.
