I'll let you know how it is once I install it and try it out a bit! Seemed guys on here liked it a fair bit so I figured I'd give it a whirlGoing from the factory Hanook 275 to General 305, basically both are 33" tall, but 10" vs 12" and 40ish vs 60ish lbs. respectively. So wider and heavier than the factory tire. Getting that heavier tire to rotate (acceleration) is where I noticed a change. Not terrible, I almost don't notice it, nevertheless it's an increase of ~20 lbs. of rotational mass now. I do feel that I'm driving more aggressively (find myself 5-10 MPH over the limit lately) but I don't know if it's because I feel invincible, over compensating for the heavier tires, or hyper aware of the changes I made. I think once I start driving normal again, I won't notice anything. I did get to the lake on New Years and I didn't notice any change in light to light traffic or going up a known step grade in Austin between 360 and 620 on 2222; she just stayed in 7th gear and pulled like a champ.
I'm asking about the pedal commander because even before the wider/heavier tires, I felt I needed a little more zip in my take offs.
I did look into re-gearing, but man-o-man, the thought of tearing into a new truck made me tear up a little. And then after reading a rear diff gearing comparison article in Trailer Boat I felt better about the 3.31 and the 5.0.
