My 21 XLT came with the 7 pin and 12 pin (only 2 wires) along with the 7 pin to 4 pin adapter.

I already had a 7 pin to 4 and 5 pin adapter. So, I tossed theirs.

Good question. The hardwired pathway is now gone. Maybe they decided to to what GM and RAM do—wireless sensors, same as on the truck tires.
I wonder if Ford is going wireless for the trailer TPMs.
My 2019 Silverado came with wireless 4 TPMS sensors for trailer tires. I would love to get that option on my Powerboost so I wouldn't need an extra aftermarket TPMS system.

Is this new for the job 2 '22 models?

Wait...I am confused. I have (21MY) two round connectors - 7 pin on top and what I thought is 4-round-pin on the bottom. I also received an adapter from 7 round pin to 4 flat pin.
So exactly is my bottom, smaller round connector?

That’s for the trailer backup assist that doesn’t use stickers.

OK, I knew what the trailer backup assist is, wasn't aware it can be done without the stickers. So I assume this harness and sensor are additional cost?
I probably don't need this to backup a trailer, I am just curious.

Think it depends on if your truck and its software. Looks like they had stickers, went to that yaw control, and now back to stickers. Not sure which model years do/don't support the stickers.

I am under the impression any trucks that need the yaw control were supplied with it from the factory.

I have a 21 XLT 302a April 21 build
It came with both the sensor and stickers. Haven't got a trailer to pull so I haven't tried them.

April 20, 2022 build. Just picked it up last night. I found the 7 to 4 pin connector in the glove box but, should there be a bag with another connectors, sensors and zip ties for the back up pro assist? I'm not seeing this stuff in the truck? I figured it would be standard with Max Tow or am I wrong?

My 2022 (delivered in Feb) shipped with ONLY stickers for Back Up Pro. They even updated the quick reference/manual included in the small folder with the stickers to say a YAW sensor is available as an accessory purchase. But of course (in March anyway) it's not avail from Ford Parts/Accessories. I had to go to Ebay (which I really dislike doing business on).
