Depends if there's a way to attach it. I've got the retrax pro MX and they have a tslot to mount racks.

I think BakFlip lists the Adarac racks as the only compatible racks.. The key is to find a rack that doesn't use the same real estate on the inner edge of the bed rails. I also have an X4s and and was considering adding a rack... not many other options that I can find

I did not. I ordered some bushwhackers but never installed them. Didn't like the way they looked — too big. Nothing more beyond what you see in the videos I shared.

Bashed the drive shaft last week, so the truck is at the shop. Realized on a past work order through all the rigamarole diagnosing the new vibrations, the dealership that installed the lift, installed '20 specific upper control arms, so ordered replacements from Stage3 using a forum discount code. Got SPCs as they seem to give most articulation and are stout as F***.

Next steps when I find the money:
- sliders and a light bar for the new wind fairing

Next steps when I need new tires:
- swap the wheels I have for less offset, buy 285s
- buy / install a front bumper allowing better wheel clearance (probably addictive deserter designs).

Time for an update:

A few weeks back, I was out on Taylor Pass in Colorado. Pretty rough getting out there, especially w/ 250 lbs up top. Well, on the way out, started hearing some horrible clicking noises. Thought it was something in my bed rattling around, but after much rummaging, rearranging and shaking, discovered it was my rack making the noise. All visible bolts were tightened down and still, there was mega play and a horrible clicking. I ratcheted everything down and creepy crawled my way back to pavement.

Long story short, I sheered two internal bolts in the Yakima HD towers. Piss poor design in my opinion as I had to take EVERYTHING off to get to them. RTT came off, cross bars off and finally after pulling the towers off, discovered the internal bolts. All 8 had rattled loose. 2 had sheered off. I figured this could happen again, so in frustration, got on FB marketplace to see what was out there... to my surprise, I discovered a SmartCap for sale. Someone opted to trade his '21 F150 for a '22 4runner (some people get squimish about those recalls). Picked it up for $3500.

Overall, I like it. It's super robust, looks DOPE! And those batwing doors are cherry! Next step: get the boys to help me hoist the RTT up there and build out the back a little more. Updates to come...

Also, on a side note, I had the front Fox 2.5s internally adjusted. I found them to rebound MUCH too fast, and didn't want to adjust the preload like FOX recommended (I like the ride height). I already needed a hose replacement (triple check those dealership installs!), so I had a custom FOX suspension shop remove some rebound shims while redoing the hoses. The drive is day and night. I hit big rollers (and speed humps) w/ speed and the truck feels buttery smooth on takeoff and impact. It's not a Raptor, but it sure feels good!

I have the smartcap too and love it. I’ve been thinking about adding another leaf in the back to help with weight (smartcap + gear). You added a leaf, right? Have you done anything else in the back? How does it feel with the smartcap?
