I would highly doubt they’d switch that mid production year. It had a special dummy plug in that leg of the harness. That makes me think the harness will be around for a while. You could always pull the door panel and look as it is quite visible. My build date was in December.

I agree that it wouldn't be probable to change mid-production....but stranger things have happened. And with my luck.....well......
I would hate to pull the panel twice....once to look to see if the harness is still there. And again once parts arrived (providing the harness is still there)..... Will probably order the parts and see what's in there............. That is IF I end up taking the 25. Still debating about just keeping my 22 which has all the options I wanted when I built it, none of the ones I don't like the current "packaged" KR has....and none of the deletes, like this key pad...........

Does anyone know if this will work on a 2025 XLT model, or does it have to be Lariat and above trim?

There's better experts than I, but if prior year XLTs could come with keypad, I would assume Ford used the same wiring harness. One way to be sure is open your door panel and take a peek.

2025 Job 1 Platinum Eco, everything went great with the install. LOVE IT! First time ForScan, went non-As Built. Watched a few videos, walk in the park. Hard part, dragging desktop (windows) to garage 😂 Like others, right path for wire was a pain. Did the two key fob trick, found factory code. Added my own, life is good! Did Bambi, remove black box from cams, global windows up/down with remote, few other small tricks with BIG impact!

Thanks so much for the post and motivation for ForScan, finally!

Congrats! Feels f*cking great, doesn't it? :)

Tell me more about removing the black box from cams? Don't think I've run across it. I think I need to put global windows on my to-do list.

It does! Here's an image I found online. It removes these annoying warnings. You also get full access to all your cams while driving. There's a "Phone As Key" option I noticed. Maybe someday 🤷 Just gotta find that 25 Job 2 Black Lens to delete that damn button blank and I'm good.

When I see posts about the 24 and 25 bar above the Sync screen, I 100% agree it was a horrible design decision.

Now that I've lived with the truck for a couple of months - I don't pay any attention to it.

If it was an easy, cheap mod, I'd "fix it", but fortunately, it's not annoying me. Maybe because it's my first ford truck.

Got mine done today. As I figured, getting the belt molding off was the most challenging. That and routing the cable on the outside of the glass, and having it stay there. Now to find someone in DFW with forescan...

With no key to insert, how did you program the code for the keypad?

Under the front cup holders, you’ll need to remove the rubber mat. There will be a slot to insert your key fob into

You can use the two key fobs to determine the factory code. You have to put each one into a stot below one of the cup holder inserts up front. There's videos about how to find the factory code on YouTube. Once you know the factory code you can program your own codes. Once you've installed the keypad you do have to turn on a few things in ForScan though first.
