Not jealous (tho envy is close and wanna join party).

What is duration of time from order confirmation to rec'g a VIN? (Order confirmation 11/22, 8 days after the order was actually e-submitted to Ford from the dealer).
The order confirmation stated that within 45 days, I'd receive an update...no update received and a chat w/ ford on day 47 after the order confirmation, was of no help in receiving our VIN (nor has our salesperson rec'd any updates or VIN).
Not sure any of it is an exact science. You see my dates above. I got vin, by calling dealership on November 11th. Window sticker on dec 30th.

Thanks guys...wide range of VIN receiving responses, 3 weeks vs. 2.5 months tho thankfully production times appear to be paring down now, 2 months after Rouge production began.

I hit the pre-select button under platinum on the build page. Here's the option.

It must be Region specific because it is not an option on Fords Build & Price site when I look. I am in Washington State.

Either way, I have an order placed for a 702A and am happy with that. I wouldn't have been interested in the 703A.

Looks like it will be very soon now!

Such a wide range of timeframes on all of these orders. Its crazy.
This might be the quickest timeframe I have seen. 2 months from order confirmation to get your shipped notification... Thats amazing..

Did you select a platinum and what extra options did you add, if any??

I had my VIN confirmation email 20 days after my order at the dealership.
I would be calling and bothering Ford marketing department if I were you.
Phoned marketing this AM...confirmed #s and contact info...no available updates nor VIN.

No Platinum here. I went with a Lariat crew cab FX4 Powerboost highest trim with almost every option available except spray in liner and wheel well liners. I want to do the wheel well liners and put a rubber mat in the bed. It will have the roll up sliding bed cover as well. I opted for the black out package as well. I won’t be keeping the OEM wheels, tires, front struts, front springs, upper control arms and rear shocks. I already have what I want to replace all of that picked out to be installed.

That’s odd. Did they have a reason why no VIN has been issued for it yet? I’d be getting a bit discouraged at this point with no answers to an expensive product you ordered as the buyer. You could possibly be a first time Ford buyer and first impressions can either be great or bad and could possibly make someone look elsewhere. For your sake, I hope they get that VIN issued out to you soon. Now that the holidays are out of the way, and the manufacturers are working 2 to 3 shifts around the clock, when they do issue that VIN, I want to bet that your truck will be built a lot faster than you think. Also, truck month is next month. So they making lots of trucks right now. What did you order exactly?

I have movement as well! @CrudeLithium25 looks like my truck was "built" same day as yours. I'm in San Diego, so I'm not sure if my delivery of 1/11-1/17 is accurate or not. I'd say March 3rd sounds like a glitch. Also notice that it's last updated 12/24/24 and built 1/7/25, clearly their system has some bugs.

So it now shows 1/16 to 1/22 for estimated delivery time. So I’m happy to see that.

Believe they're only running 2 shifts @ Rouge since the Lightning assembly is back on line.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but Ford doesn't care. They will do it when they decide to and no sooner. They will not communicate or give a reason. I waited 9 months for a build week and a VIN. They really don't care one bit about you or your order. You think that you are their customer but you're not. The dealerships are their customers.

Here is what worked for me (so far), and YMMV....

Contacted Ford via online chat (phone call works as well) once a week on Thursday afternoon or Friday, as it seems like they tend to update status on Thursdays.

Once I got my VIN from Ford Chat, kindly requested from my dealer to sign up my email for updates from their VinView system. Ford Marketing doesn't seem to have access to this system, and it is MUCH more detailed and accurate than the Ford online tracker.

Now I get email updates as my Truck on it's train ride without having to bug my dealer, and it update the ETA to the dealer along the way.

Good luck!
