I don’t like these plastic things on the hood. Their surroundings will surely become dirty green over time as the water has nowhere to go. Picture after my wash earlier today.

@forbizon / @fatBatman - Would either (both) of you gents provide pics of all four sides of one of these vents, along with a, "top shot" capturing the entire pseudo-vent and surrounding indent? (Oh... and a shot from the underside of the hood to see if/how these things fit through the sheet metal.)

TIA!

Don't judge the little water spots. She was clayed and waxed last weekend and will be removing those water spots/dirt this weekend.
As far as water runoff from the hood vents, the water will run down the main valley all the way down the front of the hood just like previous years Tremor hoods. They are obviously non-functional and without cutting the metal underneath, they can't be. Just like all of the other Tremor hoods, it's just for looks and for me at least, it works. I like them and the satin silver edge is a nice touch.

I like the new vents (fake) better than the old vents for my 2022 Tremor (BAP) style hood. I do like that added satin silver edge as mine are just a plain black plastic. That edging makes a significant difference to dress it up a little.

I'll have to look to see if the shape is exact for a possible switch or if they changed the shape of the hood and vent for 2024.

Also thanks for the shot under the hood of the bolt and rivets. :)

Phillip -

Appreciate the quick response.

So, if I continue to park, "nose in" on my driveway which declines toward the house, I shouldn't have to routinely worry about pooling. (And the inevitable oak & mountain cedar deposits...)

But now the engineering part of me begins to wonder how (a) complicated and (b) beneficial it would be in regard to heat extraction/management for me to modify the vents/hood to allow airflow...

Larry,

I do not think it would be beneficial at all to modify these vents for heat extraction. On the contrary, if water came down through them, I'd be more concerned about what gets unnecessarily wet. As for heat extraction, both heat extractors on the side fenders are open and do a good job.
I also don't think they'll pool too much. They may pool a little however, nothing will protect you from tree droppings. As for pollen...you may want to look at knocking out a wall in your house and making your garage bigger.

Yeah, I know, the rabbit holes we sometimes (too frequently) chase create more problems than they solve...

FACT. - Naught, aside from a Level-4 clean room, will keep a vehicle from turning yellow here in the Texas Hill Country....

It's raining in the DFW area today so I thought I'd take these. It doesn't pool water and runs away nicely.
