yes your right.. but why put a transmission with (on going Problems )in a 80k truck .
I have a 2017 Honda CRX Never had a problem with it from day one now it has
76k miles sill drive great only paid 40k for it.. All I'm saying is you paid 80k its should not have no problems . my 2022 power boost F150 has A lot of stupid problems going on with it Shifting problems,Speaker popping noise when car is off,Vibration ,Loud whistling noise coming from bell housing.
and that 10 speed is also in a 40k Regular cab XL with the 3.3 base motor , so price wise your argument is not really valid.
However i dont want to take away from your concerns here , they are very valid and I feel bad for you . We spend our hard earned money and should be able to enjoy the fruits of our labor. If it makes you feel better i just dropped of my truck for a possible transmission issue . ( it would take forever to engage in Drive from reverse and there is a hard clunk going into reverse, will only do it when its warmed up and driving for a while)
I promise if you if the 10A had major issues , they would have stopped putting them in their best selling vehicle long time ago .

That is good news !!but if they are going to put that Piece of junk 10R80 Transmissions in the new F150. It's Waste of money buying it!! Horrible transmission.
I get a chuckle when people "do their research" and come up with a generalized opinion based on a tiny amount of online information. I love the 10 speed and I'm on my 2nd F150 with it included. Shifts buttery smooth. Doesn't matter the vehicle including I think you mentioned a Honda CRV. I can go to Facebook and find plenty of issues with it...but again I know it's a tiny percentage overall. Basically how the internet works. The other 99.5% aren't making posts about how they love their transmission. Something to think about

I generally agree with your sentiment, but I’ve owned (4) 22 F150 and (1) 23. All 5 of them have the 10 spd, 1 was a hybrid, 2 were 2.7 and the other 2 were 3.5 EB, and ALL of the non hybrid have the shudder under acceleration.

not exactly a large sample size, but I’m convinced there’s a mild but wide spread issue with these.

Wonder if it’s the same issue the previous gen had where they even had a TSB and software update to get rid of the “shudder”

Wow that's unlucky. Drove home in my Powerboost in sport mode and was hanging with an older Vette on the highway who was trying to lose me. Damn those trucks are quick for being stock and nearly 6000 lbs. Zero shudder but I did hear there was a TSB to reprogram the transmission if required.
