2022 Explorer ST. Have 2022 Raptor on order
Occupation
Retired
I keep trying to be patient with Ford but I have to admit my patience is starting to run out. Ordered my 2022 Raptor on February 4, 2022 and still do not have a VIN; all I have is four emails telling me the same BS story about supply chain issues.
I have been all over the Ford Raptor forums and have leaned more from forums like this one and those than from my dealer.
This weekend I am going to my dealer and ask them for some answers such as:
Since it is no doubt I am being pushed to a 2023 order, where do I stand in the pecking order?.
What is their allocation for 2023 Raptors and did they knowingly order my truck knowing they had already used all their allocations for 2022?

I worked at Ford for 35 years and retired. When I called customer service to ask about my truck, the lady was very nice but knew nothing about anything. I know about change overs (going from current model year and starting new model year) and how they work. Someone knows something.
If Ford continues to operate like they have been, I can't see how they will survive like this. Customers mean less now to them than anytime I have ever seen.
Just be upfront and honest.

At this point I’d be wondering if your dealer even put the order in at all

The order is in or I would not have gotten a confirmation email. It is all the "I do not know" that gets me mad.
Having spent 35 years at Ford, no way they change over to a new model year and no one knows anything. No way.
All stock is tagged weeks in advance; someone will be counting stock down to the very last part.

Noticing that the scheduled trucks are ecoboost based, I checked my local dealer's lot to see where the XLT V8s are built. Out of 19 XLT and V8s trucks, only 2 were built in Dearborn. Something similar for XLs with V8. My best guess is that these trucks will come from KC. With scheduling for KC starting on the 22nd, I think we'll need to wait for Sep 25th to get our schedule emails :( and to be scheduled after Nov 7th.

Go to the 10/24 build week lots of power boosts but so far zero V8’s
