Weirdly, it is only required with the BAP if you order the following:

Ecoboost with 4x4
AND
Powerboost with Max Tow

I got the PB with regular tow package, so it wasn’t required. I think I read the order guide correctly. And when building it with my dealer it didn’t make me choose the liner. I prefer Line-X anyway.

I have ecoboost with 4x4. Tried to order without, but it was added automatically.

Ordered 8/13, got my email for a 11/7 build week this morning. 5.0 RCSB XLT 301A 4x4 3.73. Dealer told me to 86 the spray in bed liner, would have added 6 months. It’s the only compromise I had to make, luckily.

My truck is very similar to yours except I do have the factory spray in liner. This will be fun to compare against.

About a week ago I got a build week scheduled for October 24th. I am still up in the air whether or not to go through with it. Luckily my dealership only has a $500 totally refundable deposit. Its an expensive truck lol... Ordered a Lariat 3.5L with the 502a package, even with my xplan discount it is still like $69k...

Priority only matters with regards to the dealers orders. You are in the dealers highest priority group, first in their line, which is one of 9,000 other lines.

You can still be passed over for commodity, etc. It's basically meaningless at the moment. A system designed for normal times.

For example of how it really doesn't matter, Granger just puts all their orders in as Priority 19. With that priority I was scheduled in 1 week back in Feb.

2023 XL 5.0 ordered and confirmed on Aug. 23rd and got my scheduled build week of Nov 7th on Thursday as well! Nothing fancy on my build just the XL High Package, regular tow package!

Saw another thread where Ford is looking to omit heated sideview mirrors on 2023 orders. These are a must in the northeast. Since I really don't need another pickup, this will be a tough decision if I'm contacted by the dealership to sign for omission.

No kidding. I’m buying through my hood friend who is the GM. No deposit, great to work with. I do not want to pay 70k for a truck without heated mirrors and steering wheel. If I refuse to buy it, he’ll be stuck with a 70k truck he can’t sell. I don’t know what to do…
