2023 F150 Sport Appearance
Maybe that this the reason for the $1500 discount. That discount is strangely worded on the order guide. It looks like just a 502A discount, but then says includes Sport Appearance Package, which isn't actually included. It must force the wheels and then give a discount to offset them? Just a thought.
I will follow up on that. Thanks.

For the 2022 the 502A package offered that 1500 discount. That is probably the same for the 502A for the 2023.

Man - looking at the price increase - glad I ordered when I did back in December - we’ve hit the point where MSRP for the base is more than what I’m paying with max tow, fx4, and other goodies.

I was asking about this in another recent thread.... got a 21 Plat. ordered March '21 and arrived August 21, MSRP 72k. Ordered the same truck this year in March for a 22, minus a couple options($2k value) MSRP 74K.(2k more)
Built the exact 22 truck I ordered on the ford site today, now its $77k ! Using the above 23 list...about the same 77k. (5k more)
So my 21 has all the options(nothing deleted) and cost 72k msrp. The exact replacement (even tho you cant even get the deleted features) would be 79k for a 22 or 23, a $7000 difference!

Ouch... I am glad I was able to get $5k under invoice for my 21' 500A with bench and Kodiak Brown. I am also seeing less options/combinations. I wish we could order what we want.

I don't think so. It is that the base trim is eliminated. If you price the 22 and 23 with same options, they appear to be pretty close to dead even.
I compared pricing between 2022 and 2023 Lariet with sport package and copilot assist and they are $3,300 difference.

@lawduck1 How did you come up with that calculation? The chrome and sport package is not included on the base trim.

@shwing2345 When I build out a 2022 on the Ford website, my build comes out to $73,105 (if I add the 20 inch wheels that are now included in 502A) and my build as a 2023 comes out to 73,585.
Lariat 145, PB, 502A, Co-Pilot Active (plus 360 camera, with active park delete), Tow, Tow mirrors, 7.2 PP, interior work surface.

For those ordering MY2023, one might think to place customers order at few surrounding dealerships not requiring deposit. It doesn’t seem as if Ford is monitoring this because of current results.

After couple of months eliminate and cancel the order at dealerships that are not communicating with you, giving you a low priority, lax on securing a VIN number, and prioritizing to get the truck schedule for manufacturing.

This could crash the system but it needs to be fixed because it’s in the heap pile now and growing.🤫

I ordered a 2023 XL last week with the center console. I wanted the tow mirrors and the interior work station but I was told that wasn't available. Anyone else have a similar experience?

Just curious, did your order meet all of the prerequisites for the TT mirrors on an XL?

Clipped from the Order Guide, XL Free Standing Options section:
Manual-folding, Manually Telescoping, Power Glass Trailer Tow Mirrors with Heat, Turn Signal, High-Intensity LED Security Approach Lamps, LED Sideview mirror Spotlights and Black Skull Caps (NA with 3.3L V6 PFDI engine (99B) or 122” WB; req. Rear-Window, Fixed Privacy Glass with Defroster (924/57Q), req. Trailer Tow Pkg. (53A) or Max Trailer Tow Pkg.(53C), and Ford Co-Pilot360™ 2.0 (43A))

I think so? TBH I find the order guide slightly confusing. The truck I ordered is a XL Supercrew 6.5' bed, 4x4 with HDPP & Max Tow Package. I would think it would qualify for tow mirrors but Granger Ford said it did not...

Stepping back, the Order Guide also shows, in the columns to the right of the options descriptions, that TT Mirrors are not an option with the "High 102A" trim, only with the "Standard 101A" trim. I note the same is true for the Interior Work Surface (not an option on the "High 102A" trim).

Which trim level did you order? IF 102A that would explain both being 'dis-allowed'.

IF your order is for a 101A trim ^that^ takes care of the wheelbase and towing package requirements, but to get the TT mirrors there's also the explicit requirement for both
  • Rear-Window, Fixed Privacy Glass with Defroster (924/57Q)
  • Ford Co-Pilot360™ 2.0 (43A)
Do you have those on your 101A order spec? You may not like the bundling requirements but IMO they're an easily comprehended list / matrix as presented in the Order Guide (even if we don't understand or agree with Ford's bundling logic, it's Ford's prerogative to make the rules).

IF you want to make changes to your order now is the time to do it before any price increases are announced, you'll only suffer a very slight reset of your order date, if any.
