2023 5.0 BAP Build

[Murder_5.0]

Picked up my 2023 5.0 BAP yesterday. Custom order with a 302a package, 5.0, 3.73's and twin panel (first time for me). Traded in my 22 3.5. Loved the truck, but it was rear ended and I was able to get a good trade in value for it. The 3.5 has alot of advantages, but coming from a heavily modified 19 5.0 (ran 12.8 @110mph N/A), it wasnt for me.

Pick up last friday:

As of last night:

Mods over the past week:

- Black lugs
- 5% Ceramic Window tint/35% Windshield
- LED license plate bulbs
- Stubby Antenna
- Removed 4x4 decal
- Removed rear block

On tap the next month:

- Ceramic Coating
- 1" drop shackle
- Custom exhaust (next week). Muffler/resonator delete. Vibrant ultra quiet resonator with 3" exhaust to oem tailpipes.
- Flex tune after break in.

Overall:

Im in LOVE with this truck. The gen 4 5.0 sounds amazing even at part throttle. My son loves the twin panel and its a hit so far. I had the B&O sound system in my 22 and I wouldnt order it again. The stock stereo seems to be sufficient.

Long term goal is OEM plus and a a fun/fast daily driver that can haul my dirtbike to the track. Gen 5 whipple/LTH's and a proper suspension set up for the power is the goal for next spring.

Yes the ceramic will help a ton. Did my wifes black on black 2022 Highlander, and its actually easier to clean than my truck

Nice truck - I was similar, just went from a Powerboost to a 23 5.0 and echo your sentiment. Thinking about ceramic coat as well probably just need to go ahead and pull the trigger on it…

Not alot but it worked well

- 18+ GT manifold (unported)
- MAK Y pipe (catless)
- Flowmaster Flow FX exhause with a vibrant ultra quiet resonator (much needed after the y pipe)
- OZ Omega Tune
- 28" tall tire on oem 17"
- Minor weight reduction (rear seats, spare)
- E30. 95 cut with VP C85

What tune did you go with and how do you like it?

Livernois 87-93 performance tune.
Yes, transmission shifts sequential and smooth vs terrible stock. No cylinder deactivation and can tell the truck has more jam. Can't speak to throttle response as I have a pedal commander and adjust how I see fit.

Mines also a BAP. People always compliment the truck.

Trucks broken in now and I’m loving it. Did the first oil change and switched to synthetic at 1800kms.

Trucks under the knife today. Good friend of mine is making my own “budget” corsa system. Corsa pro series muffler going into the factor tail pipes. I’ll post some videos and pics when it’s done.
