Hey all, looking to possibly upgrade from my '21 XLT to a Tremor. I got a great price from Granger on a to order vehicle the way I want but problem is, I'm in NY and not knowing how long it would take to manufacture said vehicle I'm worried about my truck's value going down as a trade in. Plus having to drive out there and then hope I get an acceptable trade in value is a bit of a gamble.
So, I've been looking locally and locally found a '22 Tremor similar to what my build would be if I ordered. Just could not find what the differences are, if any, between '22 and '23 model years.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

The only one I am aware of is that you can get a '23 with the 5.0 but it may also have more feature deletes than the '22.

Thank you Je1279, that's what I was hoping for.

Pretty sure that the price changes for 2023 are fairly significant as well. Granger gets you a great deal, but it will be from the '23 MSRP, which will be higher than the '22. Not to mention, for the first time in seemingly a long time, there remains enough '22 inventory that you are actually seeing discounts off MSRP in a fairly widespread basis on the existing '22s. There is a dealership near me that has '22 501A Lariats for $7,000 under MSRP. No way even Granger would get you a '23 for that.

This is what I'm discussing:

OP is asking about Tremors though, and they have only like 2k off their 22's on that website. Granger, if you order a 402a tremor, sells them for nearly 7k off. and the price increase from a 2022 Tremor to a 2023 Tremor is only like 1k.

Could do like did and find a used tremor with less than 5k miles and 10k below MSRP. 2023's have the 5.0 option like mentioned above and missing lot's of features compared to 2022. sweet spot right now is to get a used 2021 that has everything it should.

Def. looking for a 402A option. I have found a dealer not too far that has a brand new '22 but it has a safety recall on it and until they get parts in fix the recall they can not sell it. But MSRP on it is 76K. Hoping that leftover discount is quite steep but not holding my breath.

I am seeing much larger increases from 22 vs 23. I found a '22 used 402A w/ MoonRoof, Blue Cruise, Front Torsion, B&O radio upgrade, interior work center, Trailer Tow, & Bed Utility Package - sticker is $71,175 but it was built in Nov 2021. When I build that same truck in '23 it lists out at over 76k!. Was there 2 increases for '22 - only thing on what explains that big of a difference in price.

Just out of curiosity, What are your must haves that are giving you the itch to buy a tremor?

if your xlt is 4x4, you can likely get tremor+ off-road capabilities with aftermarket add ons for a lot less than moving up by a model year or 2.

I personally don’t upgrade within the same generation and would wait til year 2 or 3 of next iteration f150.

Interesting, when i build my '22 as a '23 it comes in at about $1140 more.

It's a few things, the LED headlamps and tail lamps, the 12" digital center display, upfitter switches, the dual exhaust with the rear tow hooks(which I know I can buy and add on including the appropriate bumper). But having those things from the factory adds to its value down the road whereas if I add those things to my XLT, the value isn't there if I decide to upgrade in 5-7 years.

I hear ya. If you are pulling the trigger on a tremor, then my vote is go through granger.

I ordered my 2023 from Granger and was able to get exactly what I wanted for better pricing than anyone local would give me. I also wanted some features that weren’t commonly seen like a platinum with CCD, onboard scales, and no Sun roof. I did take a hit in value loss on my current truck due to current market conditions over the 4.5 months it took for truck to be built, but that’s also what miles and time does to trucks. Also, Granger gave me a fair KBB bluebook value for my trade in.

402a Tremor gets you the Raptor Hi Lock TOD transfer case.

The options look perfect on the window sticker if you want a sunroof. I would definitely get the 22 over a new order 23.

Thanks, sunroof is def. not a deal breaker for me. My wife's car has a sunroof and honestly, we've opened it maybe three times in 3 years. In the summer it just makes it hotter.
