That's the real issue with coming on to forums like this. You see the things others are doing to their trucks and be all "but I want that" and next thing you know you have just spent hundreds to thousands on "upgrades..." Much to your wife's and/or husband's dismay of course..

It is difficult to determine real-world benefits of an aftermarket IC for typical use. For as many posts as I see in favor, I see a relative amount saying it's not worth the investment. I have read removing a single louver providing excellent benefits. It may really just come down to preference.

That's the real issue with coming on to forums like this. You see the things others are doing to their trucks and be all "but I want that" and next thing you know you have just spent hundreds to thousands on "upgrades..." Much to your wife's and/or husband's dismay of course..

My wife was questioning my new 285/65R20 so I told her she's mistaken it's the same tires from when I bought truck in January. I just need to find a place to hide 4 pirelli scorpions.

They posture a lot when the camera is on or they are mic'd up, but behind closed doors where everyone KNOWS that the emporer has no clothes, thus pretending is folly...

They extended the notorious 2030 target another 5 years out. (you bet they did)
And they exempt any vehicle with an ICE as long as it also has a battery that can be charged from a wall outlet. (plugin)
AND they exempted what we call an F250 around here.

Basically a 2035 Powerboost would be legal if Ford increased the battery a little and added an AC charger chord.

Technology will progress at the pace it progresses. It's not exempt to reality nor bound to a political crystal ball.

Looks like after all the wrangling, I will be able to buy a truck with pistons and rings and turbos up until this old man is taking a dirt nap.

Just unboxed the cvf intercooler and right away saw a bunch of metal shavings inside on both sides. I don't think it's good for my brand new $350 blow off valve.

Anyway a little disappointed but unit itself is thick and heavy. Can't wait till Saturday to install.

You should contact them and let them know. Now behind closed doors they may not care, but maybe they do and they can find a "flaw" in their manufacturing system/QC system.

That does look like a nice unit. Good luck with it!

Pssssssh... it's not "modding" it's essential maintenance. You know, for the well-being of your investment and the ROI from fuel savings is irrefutable.

Or the engine. Man, I would be pissed if I got that, especially at the price paid. I'd be mad if I got that from a Chi-bay intercooler!
