Am I correct in thinking that this is a good thing for those of us waiting on orders for months now?

I wonder at what point (date) Ford will convert open MY22 orders to a MY23?

I'll say it again: I'm ok with a MY23 if they don't delete more stuff that really should be simple.

Shoutout to @bdl for calling this a bit ago.

Here’s hoping it’s because Ford intend to complete current orders and shore up supply lines…

In theory it could help.
It‘s only customer orders that are stopped on 5/13. The trucks for dealer stock can still be ordered.

What about all the trucks that are parked and waiting for chips or other parts?? Seems like a great deal of dead inventory needs to be cleared.

If you are relegated to a purgatory lot they pretty much write you off until they have a glut of chips. The Line and Lightnings come first. Chip holds are a distant 3rd priority

"Distant" is probably an over value. I may order a 2nd truck Thursday, which is the last day of my 2nd chip window
