To be clear, you added the 360° camera package to your 502A order and were charged for it, correct? If so, that sucks for UnderTheRadar; means he doesn’t have the 360 cameras in his expensive 502A.

Bottom line: 502A package does not specifically state that it includes the 360° Cameras. If it did, Ford would probably make an effort to advertise it (it’s a selling point to get you to upgrade to 502A). So I retract my previous assertion.

That said, I think my counter reasoning is sound and could easily confuse a salesman or customer (like me).
• 502A includes CoPilot 360 Assist.
• 500A/501A customers have to get the 360 Cameras in order to install CoPilot 360 Assist.
• Therefore, an F-150 with CoPilot 360 Assist must also have 360 Cameras, right?
➜ False assumption on my part, I guess. Ford is then just making 500A/501A customers unnecessarily buy the cameras if they also want to have CoPilot Assist 2.0. I mean, I would’ve bought the cameras anyway. Still.

I go back to a point I made earlier: There has to be a clearer way for Ford to communicate better with their customers - this is unnecessarily confusing. Maybe in the package summary, 502A should state that the Cameras are not included with CoPilot Assist 2.0 (just like the Tow Mirror clarification is stated in the Trailer Tow package and Max Trailer Tow package). Heck, we still don’t know what’s in 53A that isn’t in 17T (Lariat PBs) that provides the additional 4K-lbs of towing capacity.
Correct, added and charged (truck is not built yet and no window sticker available .but shows as a charge on my order form).

Are the 360 cameras a part of the copilot assist? I thought the copilot assist was done via the sensors around the vehicle when moving to assist with blind spot detection, not the cameras which are used at low speeds when backing up, parking, etc for the driver to visually see the area around the truck.

This is my plan too. Hoping to add the features from a wrecked 21.
Don’t you think about II will be able to eventually get the knobs/lights via the Ford parts dept? Hope so - at least the lighting . . .

Don't think anyone's mentioned this yet but looks like XL doesn't get the "upper glove box" door/closure/whatever you wanna call it anymore. Small, but annoying. Pulled from Metro Ford of OKC.

i just picked up my STX trim XL and can confirm it doesn’t have the door that the 21s have. Its just a rubber tray with a lip that rests in there and can be removed.

Dropped off at USPS today: My complaint letter to Ford Customer Relations about the loss of bed lighting on the 2022 Lariat F-150. Change only occurs when you let them know how you feel.

Wait is bedlighting gone on the platinum too? Or is that standard still?

Does anyone know if the Powerboost has a 12v outlet in the front cab? If not what’s there now?

Yes my platinum has one on the backside of the center console. The others are all AC one in dash two in back of console.

Unlike 2021s, Box Lighting is no longer standard on the following 2022 F-150s:
- 500A / 501A / 502A (Lariat)
- 600A (King Ranch)
- 700A (Platinum)
Must be added via the Bed Utility package (68L) when ordering. Includes power tailgate, tailgate work surface, tailgate step, BoxLink, and LED Box Lighting ($995).

Box Lighting is standard in:
- 601A (King Ranch)
- 701A (Platinum)
- 800A / 801A (Raptor)
- 900A (Limited)

Box Lighting is restricted to the Bed Utility package (68L) for 2022 models. Cannot be added, unfortunately, a la carte. Additionally, there is currently no available kit for the dealership to add Ford’s OEM LED Box Lighting post delivery. ????

Someone will come up with a wiring harness or pigtail to add the box lights, it's nothing complicated at all. Worst case is tapping into the fuse box off of the cab 3rd brake light spotlight.

It's a frigging pair of low voltage low amperage lights, making people get a $1K package in order to even option them is just part of Ford's Trim/Package shell game, where they hold back on options to force you into spending more money than you planned.

Don't fall for it, I thought $200 was a ripoff for two lights on my early '21 build. It's a pickup truck, not a Rolls Royce, these prices are pretty ridiculous but people are paying them. So it's Ford's job to get what they can while they are getting away with it.

Good news for Canadian orders…. Was looking at 2022s listings on interior and have come across a few diff pics of 2022. It appears the Canadian orders still get LED license bulbs as well as the LCD screen on the temp controls. Link to the listing is here
