Possible 2022 Ford Street Performance F-150?


I came across this today while perusing an F-150 page on Facebook. The poster, Juan Sandval, shows photos of an apparent Ford event where a generation fourteen F-150 on display. The information plaque lists the truck as a "2022 Ford Street Performance F-150 with some impressive specifications:

• 5.0 Coyote V8 couple with a Ford Performance supercharger
  • Good for 700 horsepower at 6,500 RPM & 590 pound feet of torque at 5,000 RPM
• Ford Performance Lowering Kit with 22" Wheels
• Agate Black Tonneau Cover
• Bed storage boxes by Undercover
• Ford Black Oval Kit
• And more!

I deciphered the QR code on the information plaque and it led me to https://fordautoshows.com/build/#/?project=80014467 which had a press photo of the truck. Here it is for your enjoyment!!

Hard for me to tell if this is a concept/show vehicle, or if it will come to fruition as a full trim, but I hope this means Velocity Blue is still with us for 2022!!! ?????

I can only hypothesize, but we could be looking at the wheel they’ll use for the upcoming Black Appearance package for 2022 F-150s. (Currently finished in that copper/bronze, of course) they look like they could be OEM rather than aftermarket.

I seem to remember a similar style wheel being used for the black package on the Gen. 13 F-150s.

That’s a 22 or maybe 24 inch wheel. Tire options are going to be majorly limited for that.

Good point. 22” per the plaque. That likely won’t be a mainstream/high volume wheel for OEM then….

That's one sharp looking truck, those wheels are dope! I wonder if they'll start selling that front lip setup though, I would buy that in a heartbeat.

The wheels to the comment about the black appearance package look very similar to the Expedition "Stealth Performance" edition that is coming next year as well. Good obs, might be on to something.

Interesting for the street truck that they used the tremor hood and grille combo!

I love that FP street F-150! What's wrong with some good supercharged Coyote V8 fun? However, I think something more along the lines of an STX grill would've looked better than a recolored Tremor grill. As for the FP lift, I think I like that even more! Normally, I'm not a big fan of some lifted trucks, but this looks very cool! Long live Velocity Blue!
