2022 F150s May orders - just in the nick of time!

Hi Everyone. Getting this thread started for those of us who ordered in May 2022. This way we can comment on status changes and get an idea of how quickly our builds are progressing. My order details are in my signature and I'll post updates here as they come in.

A little background, I originally ordered with my local dealer is March, but just reordered with Granger Ford to take advantage of their excellent pricing. Search that thread if you want to learn more. Unfortunately, that means I'm at the back of the line, but luckily I am not in a hurry. They said to expect about 6 months. Here's hoping I still get a 2022 model!

Placed an order yesterday 5/11/22 with local dealer for Lariat 4x4 Supercrew 502A, Antimatter Blue, chrome package, 20 in wheels, and B&O Unleashed sound system. No other special options.

Placed order with Granger on 5/9/2022 for a Rapid Red 4x2 Supercrew Platinum 701A, 5 1/2 bed, BAP, and more. Granger said to expect 6 months but could be 9 months. I've heard rumors they are removing Multi-Contour Seats with Active Motion which might cause a major problem for me, why would I order a Platinum to lose features?

Hey Matt, why would you not want to move to a 2023 if we don't make orders in time? Has Ford changes items like they did between 21 and 22?

I’ve not seen any model year feature changes listed yet. We ordered this build specifically to accommodate a slide-in camper, hence the HDPP. We also sold our second vehicle so that we can focus on paying off my wife’s car in the meantime (one payment, woohoo!). So more than anything I am just excited to get my special built rig. If it happens to convert to a 2023 model then so be it.

The window sticker will reflect a credit in the amount of $300 for “Multicontour Seat Removal”

Ordered a F-150 Platinum Powerboost on May 10. Rockwall Ford specifically sent the order in deleting the contour seats and active park assist so my order would not get hung up in the system. Let's see if that does any good. Sales manager said he thought it would likely be about 4 months if they can avoid any more significant delays.

My last F-150 was a 2013 King Ranch, and I'm excited to get back in one.

Placed my order for the 501A PB in mid April. Got a confirmation email about 30 minutes later and was told to plan for late fall to early winter delivery as the best case scenario. I will be disappointed but not surprised if it changes to MY2023

I have not, though the dealer did and forwarded. I called support just to make sure order was accepted amd clean.

I ordered a second truck on may 9, just to up my odds.

It seems Ford is not intetested in building my XL, so duplicated order in XLT trim.

Bunch of stuff i dont want, but here is what was ordered.

The XL was ordered on 2/12. Nothing since confirmation email before i left dealer.

If both were on the shorter wheelbase, then I suspect it may make little difference.

My order does not show it was removed.

Probably won't feel the sting of that $300 slap in the face until window sticker.
